Re: Female Personal Hygiene
There's a Walima happening, and i received an email regarding it stating, Ladies Please Do Not Wear GREEN at the Walima, because the Bride will be wearing that. Instead please wear something that will compliment her outfit.
How do you feel about that? I personally dont really care, but wondered what ya'l think.

The part about telling you what to wear is a bit abrupt, but I don't see anything wrong with telling people what color the bride is wearing and asking people not to wear it.

I love their use of red and green fonts to really bring the point home. You should wear your shadhi outfit

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
As salaamu alaikum everyone,
I haven't posted here in a while, but i hope you all are doing well, insha'Allah. And may Allah (swt) continue to bless you with all the best.
Sooo insha'Allah i will be moving soon to attend school in another city. I've never been away from home before and was wondering if anyone had any advice about some things that people often overlook when moving, or the process in general? And also if anyone in nyc needs a roommate?

You can get the outfit tailored so the lehnga is lighter and you can either get a less fancy and heavy dupatta to match or use bits of the original to make a new one (like put it on the ends of a solid non-embroidered dupatta or something). If you take it to a good tailor he/she will cut off some of the fabric so it's not so heavy. My husband's cousin had a mermaid-style done to her wedding lehnga so she was able to give me great ideas for mine.
Or you can wrap it up carefully and save it for your future daughter or daughter-in-law to wear

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
i just got a facial done today...after several years. and it was VERY apparent that i hadn't gotten one recently, especially when she was removing blackheads and literally scraping my entire face off. yikes.
but i feel better. my face feels better. and she told me that i'm old and need them regularly lest i want to be a wrinkly blackhead pizzaface for life. egh.
