Re: Female Personal Hygiene
asalaamu alikum girls!, hope you're utilizing ur last ten days of Ramadan with all ur potential, i ve posted this elsewhere, thought may be FPH would be a help too!!............
Our campus is indire need for writers, and yes! they are so desperate for ppl to write in weekly MSA newsletter that they came up to me several times and has asked me to share my thoughts again and again. I have run out of excuses.
I also realize the shortage for writers is high, at the same time, I know I suck at writing! f'real! My crappy writing skills does not holds me back to share what I know about Islam.
I have written/edited pamphlets and some radio shows before, but I think with newsletters it's totally different, it needs the "hook" and a different writing style to grab the reader's attention...
If you are a writer and can share some tips with me, I'd highly appreciate it.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
salaams again, i thought of sharing this info with u ladies, perhaps this might occur to you or might interest u in anyway...
Salam. Can a woman--who make up for missed Ramadan fast--combine the intention for making up for missed fast of Ramadan as well as for optional fast of Shawwal?
Answer In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
ALL ANSWERS ARE ANSWERED BY
Sheikh Muhammad Nur Abdullah
Profession ISNA President and Member of the Fiqh Council of North America
All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.
There is difference of opinions regarding this issue. Although the majority of scholars say it is not allowed to combine the two intentions of fasting the six days of Shawwal and the making up for missed days in Ramadan, some Shafi’e scholars argue that it is permissible. However, I think the proper way is to fast the six days of Shawwal first and then make up for the missed days of Ramadan anytime during the year. This argument is based on the following principles:
1. There are two forms of ‘ibadah in terms of time: mudayyaq, or timely-specified, and muwass’, which has a longer period to fulfill. The six days of Shawwal fall under the category of mudayyaq acts of worship that should not be performed during this specified time; while making up for the missed days of Ramadan can be performed anytime before the start of next Ramadan. So there is no need to combine the two acts together in Shawwal.
2. Whenever there is difference of opinion in terms of ibadat, the principle is to worship Allah with acts upon which agreement has been established, rather than doing acts that are controversial and subject to disagreement.
3. The principle in Shari`ah is that ibadat are based on evidence and proofs from the Qur’an and Sunnah, and with the lack of those evidences in this particular case, the argument of the majority of scholars stands solid since there is no daleel that the Salaf did such act.

Question What is the best way to observe fasting the six days of Shawwal; meaning that should I do them consecutively or separately?
Answer In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.
This is also a controversial issue. While some scholars argue that they should be done consecutively, others argue that they can be done separately. My personal view is to try to observe two Sunnahs at one time: to do them on Mondays and Thursdays or, to fast every other day like the fast of Dawud, peace be upon him, therefore killing two birds with one stone.
Allah Almighty knows best.
Should I give priority to fasting the six days of Shawwal for to making up for missed fast-days of Ramadan?
Answer In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.
You can fast the six days of Shawwal now and you have more time to make up for the missed days of Ramadan.
Allah Almighty knows best.

Depends. You could become a lady of the night and make big haram bucks, or you could go pick fruit in Eastern Washington, and get the federal minimum wage.

When you write something, walk away from it for at least an hour if you can. That way, when you re-read it, it's fresh. If you can print it out and do it that is even better. You can tell if it makes sense or not. You can try out different styles that way too. If it doesn't sound right, change it.

you could get a state government job. In some departments, you don't even need a college degree, just a HS diploma or GED.

if you work hard and get some breaks, you can get paid a lot, regardless of your education.
if you don't, then not so much.

TQ I usually do that with my lab reports etc. but I think I can't give that "personal edge" to an article...where as some ppl can...Ive some experience in delivering in informative style..but suck at the usual creative way of approaching a topic..
