Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Brother: So, do you prefer to work or stay at home? It's really up to you.
Girl my brother is talking to: Oh, I don't want to work
Brother: Oh, you prefer to stay at home, cook etc?
Girl my brother is talking to: Well, not really...can't you afford a maid? There's nothing I'm really interested in doing, but I usually just like shopping and hanging out with my friends.
This girl then said that my brother needs to make a decision about her in three weeks, marry her within a month, give her a ring that costs an arm and a leg. Her parents demanded that my family provide a furnished house before the marriage (and give them the keys so they can show their friends the house), they demanded money so that the girl, all of her siblings, her parents and her aunts could go shopping for the wedding and get three outfits each and the mahr the girl came up with is over six figures...
I also was proposed to by a guy who said he would marry me only if I promised never to wear hijab, lol.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
jelly: couldnt you like... eat a lot of yogurt or something to help restore balance? or is it a more serious condition?
so i just got my roommate assignment. i dont know if you guys remember my whining from the last two years, but i've had some baaad experiences with roommates. an alcoholic bikini-babe, an antisocial TV addict who wouldn't respond when i said "Hi," and a self-absorbed social butterfly who told me that my wanting to keep the door of our room closed so i could take my hijab off interfered with her "freshman experience."
anyway, so my new roommate for the upcoming year is not only muslim, but another hijabi! only thing is, i'm a junior and she's a freshman, but i don't think that should be a HUGE deal. especially since we're living in a tight-knit, all-female, mostly muslim house. :excited:
