Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Damn, people. What's with the snide and catty comments? Lighten up with the Angelina Jolie/celeb thing. I didn't even start the conversation nor was I the first (or even second) to comment on how skinny Angelina is. I was just putting in my two cents like everybody else. But I guess that's fph for ya

lol. I can thank my dad for my flat stomach, it stays even if I gain 20 lbs. It's my arms and uhh..caboose-area...that take the brunt of it...

hahhaaha yea. It's really distracting sometimes and I end up paying more attention the laptops instead of the professor.. that's why I try to sit in front more often

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
I know this sounds relatively minor, but please make dua that they will allow me to keep my library priviliges in the city that I used to live in even though I don't live there anymore.
The library system in my current city is dumb. I like the old one better. I know my new city library lets you have a card if you live anywhere in CA, I hope that's the policy of the old library as well. I think it is, but I'm not sure. And I so do not want to lie about where I live.

DramaRani, for the shower, can you just bring a fancy dupatta or something to wear as a shawl and dress it up? And also bring some big earrings and change your shoes?
|
I did South Beach religiously for a while, but I fell off the bandwagon when my sister moved to away. She prepared everything for me. Hahaha. Anyway, I can't do P1. I don't think I'm that disciplined. Someone else mentioned The Abs Diet thing to me before including Sally, but I never got around to getting the book. I will probably get it from the library, if I like it, I'll order myself a copy, iA.
Yeah, I was planning on wearing flats to the bbq so I will be bringing sandals along. I'll just have to pull out all of the stops with the accessories!

I think I'm just going to rock the skirt. I'm not buying a dress for this. I mean its not MY baby shower .

you can try at marshalls, tj maxx or ross. usually they have dresses for reasonable prices.

LOL you're so crazy! I'll check out Ross and stuff tomorrow, iA. I do need a top.

I don't think it matters who started what or when it was stated. The same way you find people's comments to be "snide" and "catty", they may have found your comments to be "rude" and "insensitive". And the same way you're sharing your 2 cents now, they shared their two cents too. Anyway, we can discuss this further on AIM or via PM if you want .

Do you still have your old library card?

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
yes I do. but there is a "check address" hold on it... I THINK because when we registered Madiha for the summer reading club I put my current city. Now, I don't know if they want to just update the address or they have a problem with me living in my current city... which would be weird because they don't even ask for proof of address when you sign up for a card.... I'm thinking it will be okay inshaAllah, just make dua because that library is seriously awesome.
edit: I just noticed the hold when I tried to request a book online.

Personally, I don't think it'll be a problem. One of my classmates lived in another county, but went to school with me in Baltimore County. She was able to obtain a library card in B'more County and check out books with no problem. Hopefully it's like that in your area too, iA .

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Boo I can't rep you
About South Beach.. the point whole of phase 1 is to get rid of your carb cravings and undo any insulin resistence you may have. I did the same thing just following a low glycemic index. So ya, if you find it too hard, just try low GI instead and see if that does the trick.
