JazakAllah

i would think it would be alot cheaper in pakistan to get it done. so maybe wait until you go there.

i tried that but it didnt work too well for me. i'd get lazy and hang them all on the top one, and then the hanger would fall off cuz it was too heavy.

I hate getting rishtas. It's like "Ew, just leave me alone. I'm too young to get married."
Thank God my parents say it though.

Also: I really can't drive. I keep getting into fender benders... with walls and stuff. Third time in like a month. Always when I'm reversing out of the garage. But somehow, nobody's noticed the damage and dents in the cars yet. At least nobody has asked me about it.

Maybe my dad and brother think that they must have did it to their cars themselves?

Imagine: If your parents tell you that you can marry anyone you like, regardless of their culture? As long as they are decent muslims! that's what my dad told me after his 20 minutes Khatira! My admiration for him has increased immensely! al hamdoulilah!

regardless of what he said, i'll stick to an afghani boy with patani khurta!

Lucky. My parents want me to marry my cousin.
Du'as please, everybody.

Oh, and it turns out my brother did break his own headlight. It wasn't me. Because I went back to the scene of the accident and the broken headlight wasn't there. So I asked him and he said that's old news and he just hasn't had time to fix it. I just never noticed before. *shrug*

only a non paki would recommend having ANYTHING done in paki which entails lasers being shot at your face.

They say that now but when you actually start to show interest in someone who's from a different background and is a decent muslim, the parents will flip. I've seen that happen before...I think what happened is that once reality hit that dad's son-in-law to be is not the same cultural background and therefore the grandkiddies are gonna be mixed, and adapting to a new culture is oh-so-hard, they get cold feet and raise hell. lol...gotta love parents.

AFallenAngel: I was wondering if anyone can recommend some laser hair removal places to me in Ohio, Virginia, New Jersey or Pennsilvania. It removes the hair semi-permanetly, for they do advise that you have upkeep procedures done every so often.

I went to my doctor to have it performed- they have someone there who has been certified etc. It's not all the expensive, each trip is $100 and I did eight trips, then they have a one year warranty which cuts the cost for each upkeep visit for that year to only 20 bucks. I think I have done four warranty trips so far. How quickly you see success depends on your hair color and thickness. All in all, I'm very pleased.
