Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Asvi: You're probably going through quite a bit as it is. Just ignore those who give you a hard time, and worry about getting better yourself. All else is irrelevant at this point. I have a friend who recently miscarried as well, she went to her mothers for support and to just recover and stuff. Maybe you can do the same? get away, spend time with your family

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Doctors are funny. Some are gung ho about doing things like that, others are more laid back. Don't worry about it, just take care of yourself. You can always get another doctor, we can't get another you.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
this weekend was just pure shopping mostly. jc penney...wow...amazing sales...i got a lot of blouses and pants and dresses and what not...target was great too..i used to laugh about going to buy clothes there, but they are really nice....
got suitcases..really crappy ones but i don't see the point of spending a lot on them anyways...they always get messed up for me...either the wheel breaks off, gets scratched, the zipper breaks, etc...
6 more weeks of work and then a month of vacay whoohoo
hope you all are doing well also.
wa salam

A lot of female ob/gyn docs are power tripping b!atches - basically, they think of themselves as surgeons and therefore believe that they have the right to fulfill each and every one of the negative surgeon stereotypes (ie, acting like egotistical jerks). There is a stereotype of their female residents being both arrogant and incompetent. In two years of clinical rotations, I was only well and truly yelled at once, and that was by an ob/gyn.
Unfortunately, my ob/gyn moved soon after diagnosing my cysts, and I really didn't want to bother finding a new one. She was one of the few nicest, most competent ones I've ever met. I have to find another now though.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
I'll be honest. The best Ob-Gyn I had was a man. He must have been 70 if he was a day, and he ONLY did Gyn, and was a fertility specialist. I've had 2 other female Ob-Gyn, and they were all kind of full of themselves, especially the one I have now (my how she lectures me on my diet).

feel better hun. and seroiusly, when ur all better, inshallah soon, go ell HER off cause she has no right to trip over your decision and how you want to handle it. people like that really piss me off because really, the least they can do at emotional moments like these is to respect you and console you rather than act liek insensitive people. argh! anyhow hun, im glad you have caring people all around you alhumdulilah! and inshallah youll gain a full recovery soon! hang in there!
----------
sumiyia: wow, May Allah grant the girl a full recovery. ameen! poor girl.
DR: awww urs will come soon too. im in pain right now though. and i take back my excitement over it coming last night cause though theres no more false alarms, it hurtssssss.....ahhhhh!!!!
i spent the whole entire day in bed today crumpled up because i was in so much pain....around 6 pm is when i officially got up from lying down, changed out of my pajamas and washed my face and brushed my hair so i actually look like a human, and then helped mom with dinner. i normally never take advil or midol or tylenol or anything for the cramps unless its extremely bad and to the point where i really cant bear it anymore, and im really thinking of hitting the bottle of advil right now.

it looks awesome! did you get it at a tattoo parlor or some sketchy desi jewelry store? (one of those places without a license where they use an ear gun on your nose like they did for my sister )
did it hurt a lot? i got mine done professionally, but it still hurt like (@&)*&!$.
ps: the oral contraceptive pill seems to be clearing my skin up already, after only 3 days

i got mine done with a gun. it did hurt, the first time i got it done (got badly infected...the lady told me to do all the things i was not supposed to at all!) and then i closed the peircing and didnt get it repeireced until 2 years later (when i turned 19), when i went with laimuun to a desi beauty parlor to have it peirced. the lady was nice though and throughout the whole 3 weeks of the healing process id keep calling her up if i noticed even a tinge of something weird and she helped me through it and alhumdulilah, nothing happened. but yes, it did hurt liek crazy. not to mention the swelling afterwards.
one thing is for sure. do NOT use alcohol on it. ever. it will dry up the wound instead of healing it, making it worst. use hydrogen peroxide and neosporin instead.
ahhhhhh ive had my nosering for 2 years! cant believe it went by that fast!
