Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Jelly: Thanks. And yes, please come and kick my hormones butt. I'm talking to my mom, and she agrees, it's all hormones. She also tells me that indeed people are not going to think I"m just fat, they will in fact think I'm pregnant.

Well, I've been through a lot of pain. I've had a couple of ovarian cysts that burst, one of which they misdiagnosed as a ruptured apendix (yeah, so I got my appendix out AND the cyste drained, yay me), I get migraines, I tore the meniscus and slightly tore the ACL in my left knee in high school, I sprained my right ankle by turning it completely around (180 degrees) when I was 13, I have developed a permanent degenerative knee problem...yeah, lots of pain. I have a fairly high pain tolerance. My mom asked me the other day if I was thinking of using any drugs durring labor. I told her:
"Well mom, I think I have experienced enough pain. I don't need to prove anything, so yeah, I'll get an epidural if I can"
For the teeth, I think the ovarian cyst burst that they thought was my appendix was MUCH more painful than the teeth. The teeth only hurt really bad when he was yanking on my jaw, it didn't last that long. I didn't even finish my pain killer prescription. I don't remember the pain so much as the bruising, and social embarassment.

chipmunk cheeks and bruising. I think the bruising was more embarassing, cuz I didn't want people to look at me (hijabified woman), look at my husband, and think he'd beaten me up.
Yes it did. I was roller skating on the front porch, went off the porch and my ankle twited really bad. I almost blacked out. My friend was the one who told me it went 180. But hey, I got out of PE for almost 2 months
I'll be experiencing even more pain in the next few months (oh joy). I'll have to see how it compares. My mom says it won't be as bad as the ruptured cyst, but then mothers tend to forget how painful childbirth is (else why would they go through it again).

i agree with that 105%. oh and thanks jelly. and those that repped.
im feeling a bit better cause i cried it out and i wasnt such a poophead during dinner and actually did all the dishes and everything to make up for yelling around the house before. and then i complained to my mom about my bodily hormonal issues for 10 entire minutes. but the pms cramps are still hurting me (yes i have those pre-period and they can last me up to 4 days BEFORE the actual thing...which sucks major)....enough so that even thinking of doing crunches is painful.
oh and the pimple downsized a teeny bit alhumdulilah, enough so its not as painful as before but its still ugly and red and irritiated. oh wellll....

haha count me in as number 3. I've found sometimes that a loose sujood-ish position helps (like child's pose in yoga). Try to get into a back bend, even if you have to start from the floor, or at least lay back on the side of the couch or some other surface (to get a less extreme back stretch than a backbend). Stretching in general helps...I've found eating less than usual helps too.
Feel better

Ameen .
-----
I went to dinner for my friend's birthday. Afterwards, we went back to her place and cut at cake. We sat around and talked and Alhumdulillah, I had a great time. We even did something really old school - we took a photo while we were in pyramid position/formation. My back is aching (my friend's knee was like right on my spine), but it was awesome, Alh. We had to take the pic like 10 times because the bottom row's face wasn't showing or my friend all the way on top's head got cut out. Anyway, I just had a really good time Alhumdulillah.

So I've heard. I don't feel like that's gonna happen for me so I've given up entirely.

That's exactly what I was comparing my 'i think my appendix just burst' pain too...was the removal of four teeth more or less painful? Definitely less, i wanted to stab myself in the stomach and rip out my ovaries out
Insha Allah I hope you feel much better soon

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Man it seems these ovarian cyst things are really common, alhamdulillah as far as I know my mom's never had one and neither have I. How common are they and what causes them?
