Her name is Safiyah Maryam, and she weighed in at 7lb 2oz. Labour and birth were hard physical work - now I know why it's called labour! My grandma's flight from Bangladesh had just landed on Sunday evening (the 8th) and she drove down to see me straight away, not wanting to waste any time as I was due on the 17th. Within an hour of her arrival my waters broke - so if my grandma had waited she would have missed the birth. Amazing how Allah plans. Safiyah's so lucky to have so many people around who love her so much - 2 sets of grandparents, a great-grandma and great-great-grandma (yes!) and innumerable aunties and uncles - they all dote on her - and all I can think is how good Allah has been to me to grant me all these things which I'm sure I don't deserve half of. Alhamdulillah from the bottom of my heart
congrats on the birth and may Allah grant her a life full of love, imaan and succes in both worlds inshA.Ameen

Do I need to come kick your hormones' butts? You are a beautiful preggo lady with a lovely personality and a hilarious sense of humor, don't let those dumb hormones tell you anything else. What would fph and islamica do without you? Come on woman, snap outta this, have a samosa, or two!

by the way I took the sleeping route for my wisdom teeth (it's such a weird feeling when you're waking up and what you're thinking makes absolutely perfect sense but when it comes out of your mouth everyone around is like "huh? " I told my mom when I was still kinda out of it that somebody had ripped the sign off the door and the black letters on the paper were melting ). My dad chose to be awake but numb like you and he didn't like it either. Did you ever get dry socket? Thank God I didn't but my dad did and it wasn't pleasant

so i was saving this one hair on the upper lip cuz i wanted to grow it long enough to be twirlable (it was actually just a tiny dot from an ingrown) but then i also wanted to try out the new pointy tip tweezers for ingrowns so now it's gone and i miss it. i miss what it could've been. a twirlable one-haired moustache.

even though i bet guys that browse the thread on a regular basis will still read this, the white font still holds that sense of somewhat security while writing totally hormonal posts. im totally feeling emotional today and blew up at everyone for no reason, and my ovaries keep sending me to the bathroom on multiple false alarms for the past two days. its annoying cause even while im praying i feel its started then i have to go check only to find out that its not. argh! and i have a nickle-sized zit (which i also blame my wonderous premenstrual hormones for) on my forehead that hurts like heck and looks ugly. i feel gross and i feel like crying because im feeling cynical over everything and to top it off, i feel confused as ever about some people.

Feel better hijabiprincezz and heba, duas for all the tired and sad fph-ers

Alhamdulillah my dad was driving back from Indiana today and passing through here so he stopped by, had lunch here and then took me to Walgreens to get some meds that the doctor recommended. I'm feeling soooooo much better alhamdulillah, plus the hubby came an hour ago!

I feel so productive, but I'm not done yet! I finished and turned in all my assignments that were due last week (I had internet issues last week with storms and all so I couldnt complete them). Now I will get started on the stuff that's due this week (tomorrow by midnight). It's funny but I'm actually enjoying it, astronomy is fun and I never thought I'd say this but....I actually kind of like logarithms

oh and sneezing is like one of the single best things Allah has ever given us. I love sneezing, no wonder we have to say alhamdulillah afterwards
