...is it a sad testament to the state of the world today that i just texted a happy birthday message to my brother in law, instead of calling him? granted, it IS 11 pm....

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
asvi and chotoomotoo....duaas and hugs for you inshallah khair.
jellymill...zyrtec recently went over the counter, you can try that. also, benadryl works really well too....if you can deal with the drowsiness. if youre stuffy as well as runny, try the 'D' formulation that is behind the pharmacy counter. hope you feel better
also...if you feel like its the beginning of a cold, pick up some cold-eez lozenges. they have vitamin C and zinc and have been proven to decrease length and severity of the common cold. they really work if you start taking them at the first sign of getting sick (so that would be....now!). it wont prevent you from getting sick completely but it will help it not get too horrible. in my experience at least, there is a definite and apparent difference if i take them vs if i dont. give it a try, they should be right by the regular cough drops and stuff.

thanks for the tips guys . i looked at the link jaani gave after finding some zyrtec buried in the medicine cabinet. It's not loratadine and it's used for hay fever (like fexo that i usually use) so im gonna take it and inshallah it'll work for now. JazzakAllah khair

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
when im in chicago i have less allergy-related ickyness. As soon as i returned home this week (to parents' house) my allergies began surfacing again. Our house is SURROUNDED by cornfields and being beginning of June it's peak hay fever season (runs from may to end of june). Today was a windy, hot and dry day which apparently makes it even worse! So now I just have to avoid my parents' place for 2 whole months every year *sigh*.
I know lots of people like me who have only now developed allergies in the last few years...how does that happen? It's so WEIRD.

Allergies, and bruinruib can correct me if I'm wrong, is an autoimmune disorder. Western medicine doesn't really have much of an explanation and for the most they, it's a mystery but you should check out the "alternative" theories. Something like this: Omega 3 deficiency food allergies
I'm a total believer in fish oils (well, essential fatty acids generally) now bc o | |
