*sigh* You're right qudsia, I know it's not about me, it's about her and what she's going through. That's why I feel weird that I feel hurt...because it's about her. But I still feel hurt because like I tried to say and like Salika reiterated, we went through this struggle together and then it just feels like she gave up and fell off the back of the cart, or so to speak. Anyway, with time we'll all get used to it and hopefully inshallah one day she will wear it again if she's ready. Thanks ladies .

-----

In other news my astronomy homework is slowly getting done alhamdulillah. I wanna go to the gym tonight inshallah. It always makes me feel really good . Also, my lips and tongue are blue and purple from birthday cake. My brother turned 8 last night and he had such a cute cake, it looked like a Pacman game with ghosts and the maze and all! He blew out a candle and set the Pacman on fire though

Here are the ghosts, this was the center of the cake (someone threw away Pacman )

There is a visitation hearing tomorrow, so please make dua that the judge will be fair and let this poor man see his daughter.

alhamdulillah.. things work out in the most amazing ways... my mom put my friend in touch with this amazing lady who takes special orders for desi clothes... she's really professional and very honest, and does costuming and stuff for all sorts of different people, desi and non-desi alike. insha'allah my friend will still be able to get the wedding dress of her dreams

in other news, this friday night is one of my good friend's going away party and eeeeeveryone is going to be there.. i can't wait! and then saturday is my brother's graduation. and i did great on my quiz today alhamdulillah. and all the cakeball making materials were on sale today so i stocked up for this weekend.

I'm sure she'll like that better anyway. Wedding dresses hold great sentimental value to people, and I'm sure she'd rather have her own than borrow yours anyway.

Yea, and she wouldn't have to experience the disappointment of "giving back" her wedding dress which was actually your wedding dress... . Alhamdulillah it worked out for her

awww that's so cute! how old is she again? does she like roller coasters? My brother's 8 and he's been going on them since he was 5 (he's always been tall for his age so they let him on thinking he's older). He would cry if he was too short for one poor guy.

as most of you know i used to wear hijab, for 3 years, and about 4yrs ago now i decided to not wear it anymore.
when i put it on i thought i was ready. i was one of those that would say id NEVER take it off no matter what. but after a few months i started to regret it. i jumped into it too quickly, i wasnt ready, i wasnt doing everything "good" muslims should be doing. i felt like a hypocrite. so i started to get depressed and i didnt want to wear it anymore, so one day (3 years later) i just went out without it on. it was awkward at first, but that feeling went away. and i felt like me again.

im not patting those who take hijab off on the back, because i know just as well as you all that its not right, but i totally understand where theyre coming from. its not just a superficial reason... it was an identity issue for me. so from a personal experience i dont think its right for anybody to judge others that take it off. its THEIR decision, their life, their consequences. the best thing you can do is offer advice, and thats about it. its their decision after that.
