I talked a lot with my step mom though, so that was good
My dad is sick, and I don't think he realizes how sick he is

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
You know, there have been times when people have loaned me clothes when I absolutely needed them... my bhabi even altered one of her lovely outfits by herself so I could wear it when I was preggo with Haneef. I had absolutely nothing to wear to my niece's wedding at the time... when people do stuff like that for me, duas come straight out of my heart for them.
I always feel so grateful when people help me out with clothing, especially since I have PCOS and my belly won't let me fit into sizes that the rest of me fits into, so it's hard to get ready-made stuff. And I don't have very reliable clothing import. So I always feel rather helpless when it comes to clothes, especially post-pregnancy when I'm feeling fat and nothing fits and the PCOS makes it so hard to lose weight. It doesn't help that I'm extra short either. .
Most other stuff I can figure out on my own, but clothing has always been a problem for me for these reasons.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
I don't care if my siblings or even my mom get the same clothes. I don't even really live at home and even if I did, I wouldn't care. As long as we're not always dressed the same but I dunno, hijabi clothes are hard to find and when you find something nice, I think it's good to share. I saw a really nice shirt and it was on sale and it was cute and I bought one for me, my ,and my sister.
sumi: It probably wasn't easy for your friend to even ask you. Imagine having to ask someone to wear their wedding clothes. You won't look bad in any way. The only scenario where I would say no is if the girl had some bad intentions or she's known for ruining clothes or something. It may take a lot out of you to give. Imagine seeing her happy on her wedding day and knowing that you were a huge part in that and the blessings that would from there

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Hmm, its understandable why Sumiyia would be unsure about it- knowing her mom went through so much to design/buy/bring them back and stuff, and she wouldnt want them ruined.

I think we can all agree that it's understandable, but we're just offering different perspectives.
but sumi, you can do the lawyerly thing and make her sign a liability form

yeah, no judgements, just perspectives.
i wound up donating my wedding outfits (nikkah, ruksathi, and walimah) to Hidaya Foundation after the Pakistan earthquake. I didn't wear them after the events, so I figured I had hung on to them long enough, and somebody else could probably use them.
