Re: Female Personal Hygiene
salika - happy bday!
bruinrab - congrats!
asvi - how about the name amani? it means wishes/aspirations. it was one of the ones we really liked, but it was too close to my name (amina), so we decided against it.. plus, we've both been set on another name even before I got pregnant. who cares if my mom in law isn't too fond of it.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
i met this like 7 year old girl whose name is "mahanoor," which, when pronounced correctly, is a beautiful name, mA
however, when i heard it, it sounded like she said "my name is manure!"
moral of the story: don't forget to consider what the kids are gonna call the son/daughter when they're in school.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Sumi... yes, prisoners can be pervy, but the guards are worse. The prisoners for the most part know that if they get too pervy, they'll get a beatdown later... the guards don't have that fear. (ah, the things you learn at the hospital )
Ladies, jazakAllah for all the congratulations. I took the Hippocratic Oath today:
Quote:
I do solemny swear, by whatever I hold most sacred, that I will be loyal to the profession of medicine and just and generous to its members.
That I will lead my live and practice my art in uprightness and honor.
That into whatsoever home I shall enter, it shall be for the good of the sick and the well to the utmost of my power and that I will hold myself far aloof from wrong and from corruption and from tempting others to vice.
That I will exercise my art solely for the cure of my patients and the prevention of disease and will give no drugs and perform no operation for a criminal purpose and far less suggest such a thing.
That whatsoever I shall see or hear of the lives of men or women which is not fitting to be spoken, I will keep inviolably secret.
These things I do promise and in proportion as I am faithful to this oath, may happiness and good repute be ever mine, the opposite if I shall be forsworn.
|
InshAllah, I'll be able to uphold it.
P.S. Sorry for keeping on with this. I'm kinda excited.

I think someone suggested this name already, but I've always loved the name Hayah.
