Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Ahh so I havent been online for sooo long! I checked my email on Friday after like 5 freakin days. I'm in Chicago, been here since Monday. Anywho. So like we went to Six Flags for an entire day last week which was AWESOME alhamdulillah. I'm a chicken but I got dragged on all the roller coasters by Mr. Jellymill (except two of them) and now I'm in love with them . I also put up some curtains today and plan on putting up the rest and testing out my new gold and red comforter/sham/pillowcase set thingy inshallah .
heehee funny story. My inlaws' washing machine broke and we've been rationing clean clothes all week hoping the repairman would show up. We caved and went to the laundromat today, spent money and about 3 hours doing our ton of laundry. When we got home my FIL had called and said that it's just the pipe that is the problem and can easily be fixed. Long story short we could have just slept in .
The Arabic/Palestinian weddng was tonight and it was AWESOME. I wore my red wedding shoes with gray Banana Republic trousers and I found this awesome super fancy red, gray and white shirt at Express. I wasn't out of place at all. Alhamdulillah. The only people wearing uber-fancy clothes were the bridal party. They had soooo much dancing, esp the men. It was "halal," no hip-shaking etc.. my friend called it "dabka." They made circles and danced around and around basically. The bride looked amaaaazing mashallah .
I drank too much coffee at the wedding and now I cant sleep. Everyone in the house is sleeping and I'm up with nothing to do. I started reading 'The Kite Runner' at B&N last night but I dont like buying books and the library's copies were all checked out. Blah. Plus I keep feeling those retarded feelings that come with that time of the month... anxiety, sadness, anger, cramps.. ugh. Inshallah it'll pass.
FOOD TIME!

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Alhamdulilah, I should be grateful for all that I have.
I found out a couple of days ago that my Cousin got kidnapped a few days ago, he just got married last month. I'd gone to attend his wedding. Young, in his twenties. They're demanding money. Please keep him and his family in your duas. May Allah subhanna wa ta'ala put mercy in the hearts of the captors and keep him safe. Ameen.
You hear stories of people being kidnapped, but never realise how it truly is until it happens to someone you know.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
So out of sheer exhaustion, I didn't go to work today and they're mad I know and will probably warn me about my attendance but to heck with them, they don't know that I am sick of them already and want to quit but prefer to get fired so I can be a bum and collect unemployment checks till July...ahaha...
My time here in NYC has made me realize that this corporate life is not for me, and I am doubting whether I can do law school. Maybe an MA at the most, but 3 years of crap school and then having to prove myself able for a few years after that is not my cup of tea at this point. Neither is corporate America, the cubicles, the petty office politics, the kissing of corporate booty, snidy, overweight, insecure #$%$#&#& as bosses, and so on.
I'm also tired of smelling like the subway....the polluted air down in Wall Street, the intricate annoyances of having to deal with NY every day...I love this city so much and always will, but I am tired of living here.
FYI: I work 10-11 hours a day in a huge law firm, so I'm just not complaining for whatever...
I physically can't do this anymore...what good is money if you're too ill to enjoy it?
In other words: I bought a suped up Dell Inspiron 1525 the other day Mabrook for me
And going to Middle East for the wedding of my sister in August, it will be my first time in 10 years! And honestly not looking forward to it, I really despise the area....but whatever, at least I can try to learn Arabic maybe.
Hope you guys are ok, I'm becoming a passing visitor here now on Islamica lol...I can't log in from work, and it's difficult to find time to sit at home on weekends to check up.
wa salam
