I graduated in the IB program in high school, graduated college with a 3.5 (mom said it's not all that impressive, ok, it's not straight A's but sheesh, way to be hard?)

Some people are so smart masha'Allah. Maybe I underestimate myself. I probably do.

and I just got an email saying that as of 2010 it's pass/fail.

i totally know how you feel though.. i feel the same way i got two Bs in my entire undergrad career. i'd write 30 page research papers the day before they were due and get A+s on them. and now its completely upside down... i hate law school!!!!

awwww sometimes I think they stack the deck for crammers. 3.5 is an awesome GPA! I only got a 3.1, and that's after taking a bunch of Music classes and minoring in Spanish!

tomorrow's the last day for my on-campus job because they won't raise my pay and I sure as heck aint driving all the day down there in the nasty heat.
so i really need to find a job near my house in my field and i haven't heard anything from the places I applied. sigh. inshAllah.. I should be optimistic!

salika: your story reminds me of something that happened to my friend this semester. she aced the final exam and the teacher thought she cheated so he gave her a zero, but then decided to give her a chance and she explained how she studied for the exam, even went over her notes! He finally gave her the 100 back and said he only did that b/c he found out someone released his final or something. i dunno teachers can be really paranoid sometimes. inshAllah khair, everything will work out!

yeah lol, i feel like professional schools try to make you feel dumb sometimes. pharmacy school killed my desire to get A's because it was impossible in some classes. (in highschool and undergrad i was pretty anal about my grades so it was definitely an adjustment haha) and theres always those few annoying people that everything just seems to come so easily to. mashallah, good for them of course...but its so frustrating sometimes.

hang in there guys...they say "C's get degrees" or "C=PharmD"....for you guys it can be "C=JD" inshallah itll all work out for the best

You are smart, mA . Teachers/professors are sometimes evil because some students try to get away with bloody murder. I always said that if ever decided to become a college professor (that's only going happen if I can get this elementary school teacher thing going, iA), I wouldn't let my students get away with half the bull**** crap my classmates got away with. I can also understand why your professor wanted to "protect the integrity of the process". Its a final exam and although you did not cheat, that doesn't mean the person that handed in your work didn't think about cheating or revising their answers based off of your test. And what if that did happen? You'd be pretty much screwed especially since the professor reneged on allowing someone else to turn in your work. My best friend was about to be kicked out of school because she asked someone else to print out an assignment and hand it in for her. The other student decided to copy and paste my friend's work onto her own assignment. My friend's answer was wrong. The professor noticed they both had the same mistake in the same spot and it was something really simple like a number transposed like 52 instead of 25, but it affected the rest of the answer, which was ultimately wrong.

Alhumdulillah that your professor is willing to talk to you before submitting a final grade. A lot of professors are just eff-it or whatever. So Alhumdulillah! InshAllah your final grade will not be low and greatly affected .

so while waiting for the trolley today, there was this really strange looking man that kept looking at me out of the corner of his eye. i tried to make it so that i didn't end up sitting near him because he made me a little uncomfortable. but somehow the only available seats left us sitting diagonal to each other. then he pops out this book (Amazon.com: Winning The War Against Radical Islam: Robert A. Morey: Books), making sure that i can see the title, and proceeds to read it intently while making comments like "hmmm" and "sooo true.." and taking notes in the book.



but i made sure i was extra sweet to him because me telling him off would only prove what was written in that book.

a week ago, a senior introduced me to a patient he wanted to transfer to me. for 3 hours, the man went on and on and on about atheism and how ridiculous religions are especially islam..AFTER he asked me if I'm muslim. and I kept trying to steer the conversation away to the issue at hand i.e. his mouth and at one point I even said "I don't mix religion and work" but he wouldn't shut up. between that and the fact that he kept telling me how pretty he thinks I am, I was incredibly annoyed.

I told the senior to transfer him to someone else.
