If you're on a normal pill (21 days hormones, 7 days without) then you get normal period symtoms and usually bleeding, but less of both.

If you're on a continuous hormone pill, you get normal period symtoms and bleeding, but not at regular period intervals. If you're on a progesterone only pill, you get breakthrough spotting every now and then, and that's about it.

I've used both kinds, and that has been my experience.

Better yet, have a talk with your dad about how you're "growing up" and need protection "just in case" (don't mention Hajj or anything) since so many people are doing it these days (in your mind you mean, using the pill durring Hajj, but don't tell him that) and tell him you made an appointment at Planned Parenthood, and you need him to take you and sign the consent forms so you can get The Pill.

i didnt get my period for 2 months and i had to get it now.. i mean im glad i have it back but why did i have to get it during ramadan why couldnt it have come after.

I don't know which one I'm on. The brand is called Yaz. It has rows of pink tablets then a couple white ones- which are suppose to allow the period to come. I plan on not taking the white ones and continue taking the pink ones to stop my period from coming next month [wedding].

It's just that when I started taking it last week, I got my period in every sense but actually bleeding [bloating, cravings etc.] I didn't even spot. Now the time when my normal period would have been over, everything has gone back to normal.

I was just doing the wondering.

My room mates are animals...I swear they are worse than boys. They leave dishes in the sink, trash piled so high they leave it on the counter tops because no body wants to take the trash out, bathroom is filthy... I want to move back home

They sleep all day..im out of the apartment every morning by either 8-9AM and dont come back till 10PM because im studying in the library and the place is more disgusting than I left it...

Im going to talk to housing management and see if I can get switched into a dorm. But they are going to ask me why I want to leave...Are them being filthy, hairy, dirty animals a good enough reason??

dirty "animals" are better than "rude" ones who dont respect you.

dont just jump into trying to leave, first have a talk with ur roomates about the situation. be up front and straight, its the only way a change may come.

if they dont change, then proceed to finding a new roomate.

They are rude...I told them from day one No guys allowed...and what does one of them do..brings 2 of them over and has them spend the night

Finding another room mate is not a problem...there's a hijabi girl I know whose room mate didnt show up so I can dorm with her, alh. Talking isn't going to work...we all signed a sheet assigning our chores and they aren't doing any of them...
