Re: Female Personal Hygiene
2 things I wanna share....see if you can give me some advice Please don't ignore....any advice is good for me
*What do you guys think about using a eyebrow stencil? I've been contemplating it for some time only because my eyebrows aren't that long enough nor is there a lot of it. If I get them thin, they look somewhat long and full. So I thought maybe I could grow my hair out and then use a stencil and then maintain it. What say?
**I'm really dreading going to the lady I go for waxing because nowadays she has become lousy with her job. She has to sometimes repeat the process over 3 times to get it done right! And since she has become lousy, she leaves a lot of spare hairs and then doesn't bother to clean it up properly. And I keep telling her to be gentle on the face, but since I've become a regular customer, she's doing it really fast and now it leaves me with red blotches.
***I'm seriously contemplating on getting a good Epilator and using it.....however, I heard it wouldn't be that good on the face. So I don't know.....what should I do

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
I would have them done professionally and then just maintain them yourself by tweezing.

I don't like waxing/epilating/threading my face. I always end up breaking out for weeks afterwards. I bleach the hair occasionally.

Bleaching didn't work for me. My hairs were really stubborn so often they wouldn't even dye (even extra strength stuff) and in the sunlight it looks orange and facial hair (at least for me?) grows pretty quickly so like the next day you have a black dot out of the whiteness and you can only use it like every 48 hours. I found epilating to be the best if done right.
I guess displaced can provide a different experience since it works for her.

Bleach usually works on me alhamdulillah because the hair on my face is like peach fuzz. I still hate it though so I usually use hair removal cream to lessen it, then AT LEAST 36 hours later use bleach over it. It makes it waaaaaaay less noticeable than bleaching alone alhamdulillah

So guys I think I'm gonna just go all out and go shopping for the least gaudy prom dress I can find. For the wedding next weekend I mean. I dont have any dressy enough skirts to wear and after reading the posts on here my trousers aren't looking too promising..hehe..

depends on the skin color of the person. I saw a brown person once with bleached blonde arm hair and it looked hilarious

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
I think it depends on the density and coarseness of the hair. Bleaching never really works for me - I just wax or epilate.

Which epilator would you recommend specificaly for the face? I used my normal epilator and it was great but I'd like something smaller to go with the contours of my face.
For courser hair

I haven't seen you so I don't know.
I use sally hansen extra strength bleaching cream every 2-3 weeks. test it on a small area of skin first.

I think with peach fuzz it's less noticeable so it should work out well

Sumi, I use the regular strength of jolen bleach. One hint that I found works for my sensitive skin is to totally disregard their instructions. They suggest one part powder to two parts cream and leaving it one for ten minutes. If I use that, my skin practically gets burned off instead of the hair getting bleached. I double the amount of cream, so that it's one part powder to 4 parts cream, and I leave it on for at least 20 mins. This gets the hair without burning off my skin (or my eyes and nose...too much). It's still irritating, but far more tolerable.
I try to do it every one to two weeks, because if I go too much longer, I end up with certain areas that don't bleach well (and then I have to do it on consecutive days).
Also, be careful if you have acne. Now matter how you mix it, the bleach will burn like hell on zits.

I have a friend who has a similar skin tone to you and she bleaches all the time.. i never would've even guessed! It doesn't hurt to try.. just test it first on a spot where it wont be as visible (near the sideburn area maybe? Beware, never accidentally bleach parts of the sideburns or eyebrows, they turn orange! ). Good luck
