i'm shocked at how common it is... i always thought it was rare but its really not. problem is its not reported/documented. i heard of 3-4 new instances alone just yesterday.. and a lot of it was by older brothers to younger sisters, older female cousins to younger male cousins, older male cousins to younger female cousins, inappropriate touching by desi "uncles," and then a little broader... inappropriate touching by elementary school teachers, and then inappropriate touching by complete strangers..

So I'm still trying to get into study mode. I looked at my study guide....totally not feeling it. I am really disappointed because I was supposed to go to Tampa next week after finals but my husband decided to come back early (this Saturday). I mentioned to him I'm looking for a job and over the summer or next semester I wanna take a trip with some girlfriends with my own money...nothing too fancy, just to get away and see some cool places. He was like "what! I'm not included? Let's go somewhere!" and then the Tampa plans were made. His dad lives there so he was thinking of visiting him anyway. He left this past Monday and told me Sunday that now I cant go. The only reasons he'll give me are lame and stupid. What the heck?! I wanna go somewhere besides stupid boring Illinois, it's so unfair!

What's in Tampa... I'm gona be there next week tooooooooooo

Yeah exactly - I think it's just reported more now. Though there's still such a stigma that I think many cases go unreported. It's too bad because then victims can't get help.

Well we can't say for sure... I think a study should be conducted... it would be really interesting.
