this is a good post. i was just thinking about how much i hate living where i do and hate having moved sooo many times and miss all my friends and good islamic/cool/levelheaded company and most of all the familiarity but it's life and it's all temporary and change is inevitable, righttttttttttt. right.

Hmm. My issue with milk is that fat content. 2% doesn't bother me nearly as much as full fat.

jellymill - i dont think ur supposed to use anythign there, except products specifically designed for those areas, and they do more than just soaps (if any?), i'm sure they're located near the sanitary towel etc area in the stores.

I do actually have all the cute little baby-gros and vests and hats and things ready; I washed them all so they're nice and fresh - it was so funny to see them hanging up to dry though; my husband couldn't get over it.
Have also bought nappies, cotton wool, baby wipes and all the essential baby toiletries, and a lovely little brush&comb set Hospital bag's all packed and ready to go, too.
First time in my life I've been so orgnaised! Mashallah me.

Hi, alhamdulillah I don't have that problem because my mother is emotionally dysfunctional(in some ways) and as good as told me she doesn't want to be present. I prefer it that way because she's not the most comforting presence to have around at personally distressing times and I'm sure she would just put me on edge. It would be very awkward for all concerned.

My aunt was the same with my grandmother, only my gran really wanted to be there. My aunt is not known for tact and my grandmother can be very thick-skinned, so when my grandmother left the room to use the bathroom or get a drink or something, my aunt told the midwife to lock the door and not let her back in. When my gran protested the midwife said she had to do what mum-to-be said.

I realise this is not helpful to you Laimuun, I'm sorry Tell her you don't want her to be worried about you and you'll feel better and more relaxed if you'renot worrying about her worrying, as it is pretty intense for the people who are there with you.
Anyway, you're the one giving birth so you should do what you have to. In my opinion.
