Re: Female Personal Hygiene
hebs, glad you're okay
SO LADIES. i have an issue. it's really weird. when i'm completely alert and energetic like after waking up from a nice nap, i can't focus on school work. the only time i can really work hard is when i'm somewhat sleep deprived and under stress

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Sally...unfortunately this is the same for me. I work better under pressure and stress. When I'm awake and feeling refreshed all I want to do is go outside and have fun or clean or spend time on islamica or something. It sucks

i should be writing this in the health and fitness thread but oh well...i suck at running...SUCK...i always have. i can do other types of cardio like elliptical or aerobics just fine, but when it comes to running...i just have no stamina. so ive been trying to work on building my endurance the past few weeks...and i am finally able to run more than a mile without stopping to walk! i know thats not much, but to me its awesome! i want to be like sally and phdgirl and rahma one day inshallah
|
duuuudeeee..way to go masha'Allah for real and being lumped together with Phdgirl in the running context is pure flattery.. she's done a half marathon, mA.
i think now that you've done so much, you can greatly work on increasing your endurance and speed and everything by following the couch to 5k running program (google). it's awesome.
soon youll have to figure out some things to keep you from being discouraged:
1. are you the type of person who can run everyday? not everyone can. i can't. i don't think Phdgirl does either. i personally will hurt everywhere and get random injuries if i don't skip a day and use it to do something else. a lot of people can afford to run everyday though. it's about diff body types and all...so figure that out or if you push yourself beyond your zone you might feel like you're losing what you've built up to so far
2. get proper running shoes..hit up a new balance store for that...they check your foot out and analyze it and stuff and recommend the one that'll work best for you
3. make sure you breathe right...in and out..active, conscious effort to keep you going. running posture is important to perfect to avoid straining various body parts and to be able to keep going.
4. do NOT try to increase your speed or distance by TOO much out of your comfort zone or you will screw yourself over by becoming really fatigued
WAY TO GO
