Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Heba, good luck with the procedure!
Jellymill, good luck with the finals.
Zakk, good luck dealing with the barrage of people (I'm guessing that's what it is - but good luck with whatever it is)

arab cockroaches are the nastiest ever. not that I've encountered an american cockroach but arab ones..are big and ugly and some of them can fly.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
duaas and for heba, zakk, jellymill....and anyone else im forgetting who's stressed out today. inshallah khair
i should be writing this in the health and fitness thread but oh well...i suck at running...SUCK...i always have. i can do other types of cardio like elliptical or aerobics just fine, but when it comes to running...i just have no stamina. so ive been trying to work on building my endurance the past few weeks...and i am finally able to run more than a mile without stopping to walk! i know thats not much, but to me its awesome! i want to be like sally and phdgirl and rahma one day inshallah

That is great! A mile is nothing to sneeze at. Maybe you can try to make a time goal (like 40 minutes). You could try running for 8 minutes and walking for two. Gradually, you can increase the running and decrease or eliminate the walking.

Oh my God me toooooo!! I'm the exact same way. I'm such a looser at running. Even when I got as good as I could get, I was still pretty stinky, but keep chugging! It feels great and you'll eventually get it (unlike me )

Once I was taking a nap in Syria and I felt this weird soft thing on my hand to my horror I found this flying cockroach like I freaked out. I've seen American cockroaches and some of them fly too, but the Arab ones are hands down the worst because they're like.. fuzzy or something.

ahhh yeah theyre huge and scary in syria. when i was there we were sitting outside one night and one landed on my head...i felt it plunk down and felt its weight on my head and freaked out and started jumping around screaming and brushing off my hijab like a crazy person. i hate the insects overseas, theyre all big and aggressive

and they buzz, too. The ones in Libya were hideous and they all seemed to fly there and were huge i think all insects are frickin huge there, alhamdulilah I'm not scared of bugs or anything, they just disgust me...and the sound when they're stepped on (this was on the balcony...i wouldn't do that now ) there was this one creature that was furry, had wings, a tail like a rat and scurried across floors and up walls. We only saw it once, i dont know what it was...wonder if its discovered?
