jittery.. 2 shots... haven't had coffee in ages so now its effects are like 100 times more than they used to be... running on 3 hours of sleep all day... so much to study.. i want to throw up on my books and this stupid final and run away... and i want to punch the stupid kids crying outside my apartment in the face because i already feel like i'm reading a foreign language and i need complete silence to be able to concentrate and make sense of this crap.. AND my summer schedule is like 18 hour days, 5 days a week... and ONE TEXTBOOK ALONE weighs more than i do..

aww sally and naj and others who are feeling bad, i hope you guys feel better soon iA.

I talked to my grandpa tonight, alhamdulillah he sounded really great and optimistic about the surgery tomorrow (6:30 am). Inshallah all goes well

. I'm still sooo stuffed up but alhamdulillah much better after taking the meds and using my neti pot repeatedly

The hubby is heeeeerrre!!!

It's so awesome alhamdulillah!, I picked him up at the airport around hours ago and now we're watching the primaries and eating Raisinets

anyways, I'm starting to feel sick and I slept all evening but I need to finish this paper

also, hubz is booking the hall for the wedding tomorrow so insha'Allah we're gonna set a date. And I'm gonna look for a dress after my finals are done, yay

daaaaaaaaamn... people suck!!...

there's this local aunty who we used to buy clothes from a few years back.. really big fancy house, BMWs in the driveway, really well off. and back then there was talk of her son as a rishta for me (i was like 16

), and then she sent a rishta to another distant relative of mine, and then another family friend.. it didn't work out anywhere so ultimately they went to pakistan and found a girl.. within a month the wedding and everything took place. the girl was an only child and her only family here in the states is her khala. so she moved here after the wedding and then some crazy ish went down... apparently the whole family would repeatedly physically abuse her as a group. they shredded her green card and passport, and took all her wedding jewelry she was gifted by her parents. the guy has said twice already that he'll divorce her. finally, after a really intense beating session, the guy dropped her off at her khala's house. she had some crazy bruises and cuts all over her body.

i'm just glad they've reported it and are taking some action. i know other girls who decided not to prosecute when they were physically abused. and she's only 21 years old... i feel so bad for her.. sigh..

Oh my God that's sick

What sick evil twisted people, how could they live with themselves. It's really good that she had her khala at least though and good for her to go ahead and press charges.

all i know is that if anybody even THOUGHT about raising their hand to me or to any of my sisters/relatives/friends, i swear to God theyd live the rest of their lives regretting it.

. Kidding. Think of it this way, once the finals are out of the way you have one less commitment and although the summer thing seems long to you at least it will be a change from the current

I concur. I've known people in that situation and while they have been utter fireballs, they have been emotionally and mentally ravaged to the point that they have little self esteem or fire left...
