Re: Female Personal Hygiene
The Prophet (p.b.u.h. ) said: "Every child bonds to his/her 'Aqeeqah, (i.e. his dutifulness to parents and him being protected by Allaah and blessed is subject to his parents, slaughtering) which should be done on the seventh day (after the birth), and on that day he (she) should be named and his (her) hair should be shaved off." [Abu Daawood]
It is a sunnah.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
The guy sitting next to me today had on the best cologne i've ever smelled in my entire life. I was so tempted to ask him what he was wearing but I was afraid he'd get the wrong impression.

assalamu alaykum
ilikemyscarf: wouldn't it have been embarrassing if he wasn't really wearing one at all?
I was about to walk out of my own nikah half way through, but my legs were frozen ahaha. Seriously petrifying, but then it was once it was done. Amazing how a few chosen words can make haram halal and halal haram
displaced/sugarberry: being nice for the sake of Allah and not lowering oneself to the others level is where its at. But i'm not there yet :/
hope all u ladies are well iA

That would have just been a compliment to him then. But damn, if anyone smelled like that naturally..

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
I cannot find aveeno lotion with menthol ANYWHERE. I hope it's not discontinued.
but I bought some yes to carrots body butter today so maybe it'll become my new holy grail of moisturizers. it has great reviews online.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Yay my oral arguments are over now I can focus on packing for my morning flight soooo excited!! :geek:
I'm also going to make sandwhiches for my trip so I don't have to waste money on food at the airport and I'm going to make one for hubz bc I know he'll be hungry. He likes cashews with cranberries so I got him some too
Aaaaanyways, much to love to everyone. I can't believe Zakk's baby is already 7 days! Wow this week flew.
Oh, and, for whatever it's worth, I think it's still better to be the better person because frankly, I don't think the other side will see it as you treating them, rather just as you treating them badly. Don't give anyone a reason to have anything on you. One day they'll be stuck in a corner and will have to eat their own acts AND everyone will see them for who they are rather than saying "well, it was both side's fault." But that's just me...

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
So today during our oral arguments, our professor informed us she was in labor. She was like if I don't have to be in the hospital, I'm going to be there for my students! We were like ... whoa...

I honestly think you need to rest. Most new moms I know send out an email or make it known some way that they dont want visitors for at least a month because 1) the mom is tired and 2) the baby is very young and susceptible to various things
