Re: Female Personal Hygiene
my sis is almost 27 with three pregnancies and two kids and she doesn't have any stretch marks.. She hasn't even really gotten into exercising and you can barely tell she's had kids. I think the trick is to have kids while you're still young and in good shape

my mom told me that the ideal amount of weight to gain during pregnancy is 25 - 30 lbs. She said that immediately after birth you lose about 15 lbs of that and over the next few days 5 is lost and the rest is up to you unless you wanna look slightly pregnant forever

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
assalamu alaykum
ahaha. JUST when I edit my post, eh?
I'm not overly possessive, such behaviour is tolerable when it's a few girls...groups of single girls eyeing up the husband with their beady eyes whilst i'm right next to him...now I understand why he prefers me to wear niqab when there are shabaab around!(I might start doing that maybe ) What annoys me is that they're Muslim..do they have no shame doing it so blatantly? Just rude.
Anyhoo. Baby love and what not

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
So what do you guys think of burkinis? I used to think they're idiotic looking but they've kind of grown on me. I might be going to Florida for a week this summer and I would rather look stupid in a burkini than look stupid in jeans + shirt + hijab (my sister refuses to be seen with me if I choose to wear a burkini ). I think of it this way....I can look weird and out of place either way but at least with a burkini I can go in the water or actually do normal stuff non-hijabis do.
Any thoughts, suggestions, experiences?

assalmu alaykum
doesn't a burkini defeat the whole point of hijaab? Tight fitting and all? I say go in with a jilbab and dry off somewhere secluded when u get out (shouldnt take long in florida?)

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
My old supervisor never sent in my reference form for one of my job applications . I just called to check up on the status of my application and they said that that was the only piece of information missing. They need a reference from my university and she was my university supervisor for student teaching .

I kind of agree with zzze about it being tight and defeating hijab. Even as a Floridian, I avoid swimming at the beach. If I did go to the beach, I'd wear light-material sweat pants and a t-shirt and find the most secluded part.
I own a burkini but never even had the opportunity to use it.
Where in FL you coming to?
