Re: Female Personal Hygiene
is getting two facials before wedding a good idea? first facial one month before shadi, and then the second facial three days before shadi? last facial i had was 4-5 years ago, so i reallllyyyy need one.
also, what are the essential/basic makeup a new bride should have? i got a couple of brushes, blush, some eye shadow, a few lipsticks but I hate them all (how do i find the perfect lipstcik?)... and that's about it.
i'm still trying to find a good foundation (concealer? pressed powder?)...so yeah, a little help.
i'm also looking for a good eyeliner in pencil form to replace my hashmi surma.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Girls, I'm happy to report... ZAKK HAD THE BABY ALHUMDULILLAH. Mom and baby are doing okay Alhumdulillah, Alhumdulillah, mA. I got a text saying... "in the hospital". Zakk's cell wasn't saved in my phone, so I asked who it was. LOL. I was subbing I had no clue what Zakk already reported on here. Anyway, she texted back saying that it was her and that the baby is here. Alhumdulillah x 100 . I told her that I will call her in a bit. She said I could let ppl (basically FPH) know that she's okay! YAAAAAAAAAAAAY for Zakk !

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Mashallah, Congrats zakk!!
`````````````````````````````````````````````````` ```````````
I just got my eyebrows threaded from the lady who I always go to and she does it good every time.......but this time, one came out perfect and the other one looks slightly misshapen and wrong
I could just use a eyebrow pencil and fill in no problem, but its really irritating when I look in the mirror and find that its not a close perfect match like she always used to do......its driving me NUTS!!  I keep going to the mirror every few minutes
But I'm glad I started early because I've a couple weeks left before family wedding, so I could probably grow it out and re-shape it by then...........but STILL!!
ANYONE feel my pain
I'm probly not the best person to ask about basics in makeup because even though I love makeup, I hardly wear any. I try to make sure I have my dark brown liner, eyelash curler, chapstick and gloss at all times and sometimes I use tinted moisturizer to cover uneven tone/spots if I'm going somewhere that matters.
As for facials, DONT get one less than a week before. I got a facial done about 10 days before my wedding and even though I was still broken out it had helped a lot by the wedding day alhamdulillah. The night before the walima (1 week after the wedding) my sister-in-law did a home facial on me and the next day after the party I peeled off the layers of makeup and within 3 days I had broken out terribly. The reason is because after steaming and scrubbing and extracting, the pores and skin are open, supple and susceptible to dirt and stuff.
Basic rule that I've learned from experience and from my esthetician: Don't put any makeup on your face for at least 3 days after a facial and if you have to, try to make sure it's not heavy or on for too long
Jaani: Yea I let my sister in law do my eyebrows 2 months ago and she made them too thin....they still havent come back properly. I dont believe in shaping eyebrows, just getting rid of the extras and these are definitely shaped
Actually what Salika said is better.. if you want to see results do it no less than 2 weeks before. I should have mentioned that, I was basically talking about avoiding clogging up ur pores
I already have natural shaped eyebrows with extra hair here and there, but one eyebrow is little shorter in length than the other, and the other one has a little less hair than the other
So I do need to make them look even......but thanks anyways....
I've been moody lately; I'll cheer up soon, I hope Inshallah
Yea alhamdulillah mine are naturally arched and all that too so I'm not sure why she felt the need to whack off half the hair. Anyway have you ever heard of eyebrow gels? I've heard you can get them at beauty supply stores like Sally's. Or you could try to lightly apply powder eyeshadow which is less obvious than a sharp pencil line
