And now I've a project due tomorrow and a test and lots of homework from my other class.......plus financial aid stuff that needs to be sorted out

Thanks for your concerns
Alhamdullilah, I dragged myself to bed but couldn't sleep, so read a book instead
Mum feels better and headaches gone, but now I gotta finish up work

We stayed in a hotel. They're hijabis.. even if they were nonmuslim I wouldn't have stayed there, we wanted our privacy and I'm sure he would not want to share a bathroom with 2 strange girls.
------
I just found out something really dumb about some guy. He was making a big deal about women walking in through the main doors of the masjid because he thinks that door should be for the men only while the women should have to walk around to the back door that doesnt open from the outside, has mud around it and is dangerous at night b/c there's no lighting. His wife religiously uses the back door as do a handful of other women and often during potlucks, lectures and even salah you will hear somebody loudly banging nonstop on the door for somebody to open it from the inside. If ppl arepraying they still won't go around, they'll just keep banging.
Nobody objects if an equally large door with adequate shoe-space and lighting were constructed for the ladies in the back door's place but current conditions are ridiculous to insist we use the back door. If the men would have a little consideration and not crowd 2 exits, then maybe they wouldnt have so much to feel awkward about.. now there's a thought .
Recently this same gung-ho gender-separation guy was at the campus gym to work out in the same area as girls working out in awkward positions while wearing butt-shorts and halter tops...for anyone that's been to a university campus gym, you are probably familiar with the scene...

Honestly, I think its because my friend meets me at the gym. She really motivates me. She calls me almost every single day during her lunch break to ask me if I'm coming to the gym. If I even whimper or even attempt to think of an excuse, she tells me to shut up and be there by 7/7:30. Even the days that I really do not feel like going, I go just because I told her that I would be there. We barely even talk while working out. She's running on the treadmill with her iPod on and I'm usually flipping through some magazine on the elliptical. If we see something funny, we both turn and give each other looks - she always knows what I'm thinking. Heh. Anyway, I think its all of that that makes working out more enjoyable. Plus I just feel a lot better aftwards, Alhumdulillah. I just wish my body would reflect how hard I work out - inshAllah it will soon though.

Sounds like the same gung-ho guy who told one of my hijabi friends that she shouldn't work out at her campus gym (despite being properly covered)...because "things jiggle".

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
I just went for a walk with my roommates, they're so awesome. I love them as friends (not as roommates, I really dislike them as roommates). *sigh* Can't wait til I'm living in a 1bedroom place and able to call up my former roommate for lunch or a movie ...inshallah.
