yeah...after taraweeh. thats when i pray at home. when we go to masjid, then we do what the imaan does (ie 2 then 1 rakaah) |

it's based on which madhab you choose to follow, i believe. hanafis pray all 3 together and shaafis can pray 3 together or (usually?) 2+1, i believe. Allahu alim. i don't know at all about the other madhabs.

ABCD, San Jose has really nice weather. Chicago is terrible in the winter. I'm guessing Boston is the same.

If I'm doing it after Taraweeh, then I just do it one rakat after finisheing taraweeh (becuase taraweeh is already so many sets of two)
If I'm not saying Taraweeh, and I'm just saying it after Isha, then I pray Isha, then 2 rakats sunnah, and then 3 rakats for witr (like saying maghreb) and the first two rakats are for a nafl prayer, then 1 for witr (witr means one I guess). If I'm saying witr before fajr prayer, after tahajud, then I also just say it one, since tahajud is supposed to be an odd number of rakats, with the last rakat being for witr (what I've been taught and read). I hope I didn't just confuse you. |
