Re: Female Personal Hygiene
I think it would depend on the overall tone of your appearance. Like, if you were dressed more casually, brighter make-up might make you look inappropriate, whereas if you were wearing a suit with a bright blouse, then bright lipstick would fit. But if you are going to use a bright color on your face, just use it on one feature. For example, wear a bright lipstick but not bright shadow, etc.

I always wear black liner because I think brown liner would look awful and faded against my dark hair, eyes, and eyebrows. My classmate is a blond, has light blue eyes, and her lashes and eyebrows are pretty light - she wears a brown (very light brown) liner. I think its almost nude.
Anyway, reading that made me think of the time when one of my little kindergarten students asked me why I had marker on my face. LOL. So cute, so innocent

did you talk to your doctor about it? and like fifa said, you should do your own research about it on WebMD or babycenter.com
a lot of times, we get worried about something even before we fully know what it's about.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
personally like feefa said, im the black eyeliner type simply because the brown doesnt seem to show up on my face...i cant put it on my eyelid because it jusst blends in with my eyelid skintone, and i cant put it inside the eye cuz it doesnt show up...so i sick with the black liner even in a professional environemtn...
but yeah i agree with nooni, theres a different in professional makeup and party makeup (at least to me) cuz personally i wouldnt dress my face the way to work that i would if i were going to a party or a wedding....
so have any of you guys heard about the lead being found in Hashmi Kajal/Kohl? its about hmm roughly 2 months old or so? i sitll use it

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
ive used eyebrow gel once just for fun, but i used clear....its not so bad and it keeps ur eyebrows in place especially if you have curly eyebrows (like i do, blekh) but ive never used it again after that simply cuz i found it annoying that i could feel something over my eyebrow and under it lol...it felt...gel-ly. lol. but aside from that, no one can tell u have it on, its not visible at all.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
on make up - what zakk said.
on eyebrow gel - i prefer clear, but i've only used it twice (shaadi and valima)... i probably wouldnt use it that often so i'm not planning on buying it.
on bc pills - i've been told by my doctor that you need at least one cycle of pills for it to be effective. they havent suited me at all so i dont think i want to use them anymore
p.s. hi ladies!

In my opinion, and mine only with respect to all the sisters out there. If make up is to be worn with the Hijab then a tiny amuont should be worn. [i/e kohl and just a bit of foundation allahu a3lam]
In General i find that some women [ with respect to them blah blah] whom wear the Hijab have allot of make up on and it looks ugly.
The more natural a person looks the better.

Saalaaams.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
its intresting were talking about makeup....i just bought 3 different brands of brown eyeliner to see if brown eyeliner suits me....I have small eyes and someone told me that for people with small eyes its better to wear a lighter color eyeliner to make your eyes seem larger.....so we shall see if this theory is true. I also bought a really nice eyeshadow....yes yes I went a little crazy in CVS.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
My sister and friends are obsessed with eye liner. They say they feel naked and incomplete without it. I hate it. Ok well not hate, but I used to wear it on the lower eyelid which was bloody stupid. I later figured out that for some people, I guess depending on the shape of your eyes or something, it suits you if you wear it on the top. And then I started wearing it on the top eyelid and it looked much, much better. I like mascara too.
