Anyone know how to make a 17 year old realize that they need to grow up? Or at least stop being like a spoilt 2 year old.

I have similar problems with my sister (except there's also PMS to deal with, which she explicitly admits to afterwards.. "oh sorry, ya about that, I was PMSing.. ). When you find a magical formula please do share

That's the problem. Because he was the youngest, he didn't get much discipline growing up - especially after I went away for school.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
assalamu alaykum
now im worrying about my youngest brother. I was always the best at making sure he was disciplined as i always followed through with punishments (time out).
Someone told me you could make dua for ur unborn children...and even though i dont plan on having any - ever, i might just in case!
insha Allah hope it gets sorted out Bruinrab

I'm having the same problem with my 15 year old brother. and my parents are part of the problem. he's the only boy and there's been no discipline for him whatsoever. I'm at the point where I really don't even bother trying to talk sense into him or my parents because neither will listen. I'll let them deal with it when he starts getting himself into real trouble.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Moral of these stories - make sure your youngest isn't a boy.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
I just found out I have to give a short speech at this luncheon. well, I already knew about it, but Its earlier than I thought. I barely have time to lose weight before it too. .
I'm mad too that my PT job denied me my month off. I gave them ample notice, AND I spoke to my manager before. I'm gonna cry to him the next time I see him, I need those days because I am pledging Gamma Gamma Chi.

You should really really try to get health insurance. What if something happens? Sorry to be the voice of gloom and doom, but it's so important.....

It looks like I won't be able to go to NY this summer, because my parents are going to Umrah.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Ok so upon the advice of sally, I bought this book by Jillian Michaels (the lady from the Biggest Loser) called "Winning by Losing" and I'm going to try her approach. I've plateued like no one's business.
I took the quiz and I'm a balanced oxidizer so I need equal amount of carbs, protein, fat for my metabolism to be at its best (and all this time I was decreasing protein and fat!). so I went grocery shopping and stocked up on more protein I also made sure my foods are on the lower end of the Glycemic Index chart. So we'll see how it goes...
