Not true . Maybe in Canada, but not where I live. We had a HUGE cake made for my nephew's aqeeqa, and it was completely demolished except for about 5 slices. People couldn't believe it when we told them it was from the grocery store up the street. In December, I ordered a strawberry shortcake from another grocery store bakery, and that was demolished at one of our parties too. I guess it really just depends. On my 16th birthday, my aunt and uncle bought me a cake from a pastry shop, and it was over a $150. It was really delish, but $150+ for a cake? Boooooooooooo : .

Btw, jazakAllah to everyone that kept my dad in their prayers. His surgery for tomorrow has been canceled/postponed due to an emergency room visit on Friday. Alhumdulillah, mA, everything was okay; however, his primary care physician is an idiot. She put him on some medication which elevated his blood sugar level to the upper 500s and up'd one of his meds from 20 mg to 160 mg. Yes, I typed 1-6-0. She's an idiot ass and she's damn lucky my dad's so laid back that he's not reporting her to the Board of Physicians or anything. This is the 2nd time she's done something to really put my dad's health in danger and scare the living crap out of my family. Anyway, jazakAllah everyone .

Now, I'm going to have a slice of Mascarpone Cheesecake which I got from a store bought bakery for $11 . Nice and smooth lemon-esque flavors. Mmmmm.

Keep yer eating scheduled. Avoid snacking. Try to eat in the same or close to the same times every day. Exercise helps too. Simple as that.

Results should start showing in a week or two. xD Especially if you've been blessed with a quick metabolism.

Hah, I don't really care about my weight as much as most people. ^^; Important thing for me is basically just that the food is healthy (or healthy enough) and tastes good. No way am I giving up yummy food for stuff that tastes like cardboard so I can fit into tiny clothes. O_o
