Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Okay, seems like pretty much all the married ladies are pregnant, but for those of you who aren't: what form of birth control are you using, if any? PM me if you wan't want to share your answer.
I was talking to my aunt and told her she should go on the pill for her acne, but she said her IUD works fine (but might be causing the acne). I was like "Ew... an IUD is way more involved than I'd wanna be in the process." 'Cause you gotta get it fitted and all. And she was like nothing is gross or too involved once you've had two kids. That's her answer to everything.
EDIT: Also, epilators are the suck 'cause they hurt so much (I can handle underarms, but not legs... ow ow ow) and yoga is the best. Don't see why you'd get a credit for it though, unless you're in Phys Ed or something.

Assalamu alaykum
Is the IUD the coil? Forget the gross bit...I heard it's painful to insert, esp if you haven't been through childbirth. The coil stays in for ten years though, now THAT'S genius.

Yeah... that's what it is. Painful to get inserted. But you can take painkillers or they can give you something.
Ten years is pretty genius, but what if you want to space your kids out nicely, hmm?

I lost weight in my first trimester. I didn't start gaining till about 18 weeks. it's normal for some women.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
i gained 6 pounds before i lost it all when the morning sickness started. when the morning sickness went away, i gained a pound a week from 12 weeks on. my son was 8lb 10 oz. a friend of mine threw up her whole pregnancy and couldn't even keep her vitamins down.. but her kids were born 7 lbs and healthy.
iud's sound too scary and invasive.. a friend of mine had it and had an awful experience. although, it would be an ideal choice for me, as i don't want to have any more kids for at least 7+ years.

Painkillers? The friend's heart beat started dropping rapidly and wouldnt let her leave for 2 hours afterwards.
The coil is perfect isf you never want to have kids, or have finished having kids. If you NEVER want to have kids you only have to have like 2/3 insertions in ur life. It's like the halal alternative to the permenant way.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Yeah, or they can give you something... anesthesia.
I guess that means my aunt is done having kids... they have, MashaAllah, one girl and one boy, so yeah, they're content. My aunt's like "We feel so blessed; we have one beautiful little girl and one...little monkey."

I'll have to tell everyone else who doesn't know that I had to scramble into a residency spot instead of matching into one today. This is so humiliating.
