Zakk, they make cakes flat in bakeries by shaving them flat. That's why they have to put so much frosting, to cover where they cut the cake to make it flat. Your cake is perfect.

Sorry, but from the packaging (the cute gold foil thing uner the cake, and the plastic cake tray that has a lid) it looks exactly like a grocery store cake. If your sister made it, she went to a lot of effort to make it look like a grocery store cake.

yup. we had the whole box thingy from the cake that my dad bought for my mom's birthday, which is two months before mine (in 13 days, actually  ) and we kept it...lol...we ARE desi.
so yeah. everybody at my birthday was asking if it was from tahoora or something.
yup. my family loves me Alhumdulillah |

Grocery store cakes suck. It's the cakes from a quality bakery that are good.
Also, I spent all day shopping and just got in. Showed my mom what I got and she hated most of it.
