Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Yeah, I'd just get my own nails done. Fake nails are gross.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
If you don't like super long nails just take a white eyeliner pencil and fill it in under the tip of your nail. Than a quick coat of clear polish. Looks really clean and chic.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
drama is right, acrylic is really damaging
i did it and have had them off at least a month now and my nails ar epaper thin and disgusting and not grown out yet
definately the best option for you is to grow out ur own nails and do it that way... the fake ones you buy from the store are more tacky-ish and you can tell theyre fake...anyhow just my opinion

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
A certain somebody decided to negative rep me for my below post which was made a couple of days ago. They accused me of being a typical teenybopper, arrogant and stupid. I can see how they would assume that so I apologize to anybody else I might have offended by the things that I said in the following post.
Let me just clarify a couple of things though. The issues of music, women not leading nations or staying at home are all disputed within Islamic shari'ah and I was not trying to insult or demean that anybody that sincerely believes this. I was ranting about people that push their beliefs on others and wreak havoc on others' lives. Also, without getting too deep into it, I do not like the fact that somebody will tell me I cannot be prime minister or president of a country or organization just b/c I'm a girl (now being a khalifa is a different issue) and there is sufficient Islamic proof to back up the argument that women CAN be leaders.
I did not come to my conclusions through blind emotion after watching some dumb movie nor did I form my opinions because I am some kind of "extremist feminist" disregarding the rules of my religion. I came to my conclusions after deciding to major in Religious Studies & Islam and reading, researching and studying under some of the best professors (Muslim and non-Muslim) in this state (alhamdulillah).
Again, I apologize if I offended any of you. That was not my intention

This movie is an example of why I strongly dislike people who come up with misogynistic opinions like "women should always be in the home" or "women cant be leaders" or the best one, "women shouldn't go to university because they will mix with men" and also other stuff like "music is 100% haraam, dont go to the mall because they play music there!" or "all non-Muslims are kuffar." It especially pains me when people who think like this are women...it's outright pathetic self-degradation. I wish people like that would either see the light or keep their backwards, closed-minded opinions to themselves. Or better yet, fall in a ditch .

ewww I dont have anything against Paris as a person cuz I don't know her but the only reason she's "hot" is because she bleaches her hair, tans and wears fake contacts. I am SURE you're way hotter .

107 and 5'9? I'm 5'8. Despite the fact that I have a small and slim frame (for my height), if I go below about 128 - 130 I look disgusting...I have to keep it between 135 - 140 to look normal and I have a feeling even 145 wouldn't look so bad. 107 is just dangerous...

depends on how tall you are and what your body type is. Like I said, I'm "slim-framed" and once I get down to around 130 I have NO shape whatsoever. Maybe I have heavy bones?
edit: holy crap my bird passed gas and it stinks!!!

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Ok guys! Duaas, seriously. I contacted an old mentor of mine. Although she really pushed me to go outside of my box/comfort zone and we kind of had communication issues, I really respect her because she changed me and challenged me as an educator. Anyway, that aside, I need her recommendation for a job. She was my cooperating teacher/supervisor/mentor whatever. Anyway, please pray she says something very positive about me. I busted my ass for her and sacrificed so much, even my own health during the 8 weeks I took over her classroom. Please, please any positive duaas will be appreciated! I really desperately need a job for next Fall (Sept 08 - June 09 school year) .

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
i hate fake nails. i tried them once in my life, i felt like such a cheapo. NEVER AGAIN.
and i wore colored contacts for 6 months and felt fake too.
all that happened when i was 16 though. thank god.
i think nailpolished nails look really weird with dulhan/bridal henna/mehendi on. but that's just me.
HEART FRENCH MANICURES. hearttttttttttt subtle stuff.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
i just finished epilating my legs... ughhhh. it hurts seriously more than waxing, but at least i don't have to wait until the hairs are long to epilate. still, the pain is horrible. it's not the front of the leg (actually kind of fun to do that part ) that's so bad but the back ... OUCH.
kind of a bummer though bc i think my pain tolerance with things like waxing, threading, and epilating went to crap after i got married, lol. but still gotta suck it up and do it.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
hmm not that i noticed... ends up being the same as waxing for me. but i do exfoliate with sugar scrubs inbetween sessions, so that might be it a reason.
