But I don't care what they say
I'm in love with you
They try to pull me away
But they don't know the truth
My heart's crippled by the vein
That I keep closing
You cut me open and I
Keep bleeding
I keep, keep bleeding.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
i used a biore strip on my nose and mashallah, it feels soo good now! and looks half as better than before! i used to use the ponds strips and the didnt do ANYTHING, so i gave up all hope in nose strips blackhead removal....but i keep hearing that the biore strips are awesome, so today at walmart i stood there for 10 minutes contemplating over whether to spend a good $5.68 over them or not. i opted for the investment in it. and alhumdulilah im glad! theyre wonderful...im in love with them now!
so this spring break, ive decided to give some time to feeding my face with homemade face masks and what not....im on "operation face food"! i havent given any attention to it in the past few months since ive been sooo caught up with school and life that my regular facial routines just consist of face wash, moisturize, and get out. or the once in a blue moon apricot scrub-ation when i notice my face feeling weird....that and my hair. my hair needs some MAJOR MAJOR help....i havent done the desi oil massage thing since i have no idea when. 4 years maybe??? so yeah ill probably look into some hair food too.....

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
I finally got the Braun Silk Epilator today. Whats the routine you girls do? Do I epilate before or after a shower? Should I exfoliate before or after? Is it less painful to use when the hair is the shortest possible?

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
I know this sounds strange, but I'm really not kidding. This situation is scary. Think of Andrea Yates, and what she did to her kids!
Sisters, please make dua. The wife of a friend of ours has been going really nuts for a few years now. She refuses treatment and is seriously delusional and paranoid, thinking people are spying on her and so forth. She took the baby, and left her husband abruptly. We have to write letters stating all the strange things she's done or said. Please make dua that the judge listens, gives the father custody, and makes this woman get treatment.
You just wonder what she could be thinking to do such a thing

It was regular price at Bed Bath and Beyond for $70, but I had a 20%off coupon. I've never seen it on sale and with the coupon, its the best deal I found on it. Even online (but I'm not a big fan of online shopping).

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
wow subhanallah... the family is in my prayers insha'allah
in other news... this one brother at ucla passed away this week. he was a senior, got a 38 on the MCAT, accepted to med schools like all over, and had a really bright future ahead of him. only 22 years old. apparently his frat brothers dared him to swim in a covered pool... he suffocated/drowned.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
I just watched a Pakistani film called "Khuda ke Liye" and cried my eyes out at the end
This movie is an example of why I strongly dislike people who come up with misogynistic opinions like "women should always be in the home" or "women cant be leaders" or the best one, "women shouldn't go to university because they will mix with men" and also other stuff like "music is 100% haraam, dont go to the mall because they play music there!" or "all non-Muslims are kuffar." It especially pains me when people who think like this are women...it's outright pathetic self-degradation. I wish people like that would either see the light or keep their backwards, closed-minded opinions to themselves. Or better yet, fall in a ditch .

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Thats the only pakistani film I've ever seen and I had enjoyed it. Good story, good acting and good music.....but it got me thinking that there are still people like these who exist; I should definitely count my blessings
