My friend didn't think anything of it, until the woman asked my friend how much my parents were paying her. Its not like my friend was in a uniform or anything; she was very really nice shalwar kameez.
Another time, one of the guests was checking herself out in the mirror while talking on a cell phone. We have a ceiling to floor mirror. Anyway, she was contorting her body etc. This uncle really LOUDLY in front of almost everyone said that that lady wasn't all that and that he didn't know what she was looking at. It was like the funniest thing ever, especially since I know that that uncle was like dead serious.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
I just found out that this uncle passed away. He had some tumors in his back that he was having removed. Please make duaa for his wife. I can't even imagine what she is going through, especially since their son passed away a few years ago .

ALH, I'm okay. I meant to post the story but fell asleep.
So I used to work in downtown. And I still go down there very so often. There's this guy who like(d) me. Who used to work in the same building I did. Mind you this is the same guy I posted about few pages back. He gave me his humber I never called. Gave it to me again. I still didn't call. After like 4 months I was like "Maybe if I talk to him he'll leave me alone." So I gave him my number. We talked. And he turned out to be pretty cool. Anyways long story short, it turns out he has a girlfriend whom he failed to mention. So she thinks we're serious when we're really not. She happens to work at the same place as he does, and filed a complaint against me saying I go there to harass her, when in actuality I go there for my starbucks and to get away from home. She called security on me and my friends who I haven't seen in a while because we were laughing and hanging out but she's convinced we're laughing at her. She's also called me threatening me but I didn't think much of it, but the head security guy told me I have to inform the police of she does it again. I don't like dealing with legal things. Hence the reason I decided NOT to be a lawyer.

My hubby is somewhat like my daddy, personality wise.
Sally - i think its best to share a few hobbies w/your spouse and we deff. have some in common. I knew he was my soulmate when i found out he watches Family Guy.
in other news: so my work place terminated me today without telling me. I went in to work after 4 days since they didnt need me cuz they were in a all week meeting in D.C. and i open my emails to see that my last day is TODAY. i was very pissed off in the morning, but after talkin a couple friends, i'm OK now. Supervisor told me i had END of March but they made my LAST day Today..wtf???????????? so i'm unemployed rite now, i've been applying online today, inshallah i'll find another job soon.
p.s. i posted a new pic of me on FB

My menfolk are nothing alike, actually. Except for the fact that they both wear glasses and have beards. Hubby is tall and gangly, dad is short and podgy. Personality-wise - the biggest difference is that my dad has a very quick temper, small things bug him, and he's utterly dependent on us womenfolk to wait on him. Hubby is MUCH calmer - in 3 and a half years of marriage I've never once heard him raise his voice, mA. He is also pretty independent, can look after himself, etc.
HOWEVER - they ARE alike in sharing the same core values regarding morals, family, deen etc. and both come to the same conclusions when assessing people's character. Oh and they both love food, shopping for food, and inviting people over for dinner
But personally I don't hold that saying to be universally true anyway.
sally: It's not necessary to have exactly the same interests. You can spend time together doing both things you mutually enjoy, and in sharing each other's different interests. You can spend an afternoon doing something one of you likes, and the next time do something the other likes. It's also an opportunity to learn more about other pursuits from each other - you might even end up enjoying the activity for its own sake.
