Well, my hair isn't that damaged so I can't tell you. As for dryness.. a couple of months ago, my hair got so dry it literally got stiff and one night olive oil got rid of the stiffness and made it much softer so I don't think it takes that many tries... you should see results within the first or second try methinks Let me know how it goes

i got a snow storm for my b'day. they even closed the highways in my honor.

it was still good, alhumdulillah. even though i couldn't go see my mom until the next day. she spent a few hours in the ER. it was scary. but she's in good hands now and doing much better, alhumdulillah.

i also got chocolate. lots of it. and something shiny. and $$$. and a buncha cards.

my MIL got me a cake with dolphins and purple icing. and pink roses. and a minibag. she's really sweet, mashaAllah.

sometimes i feel torn. but i think it's normal given the circumstances so it's okay. i think. i hope. inshaAllah.

hmmmm few things to consider:

noise level
visitors (males? family? friends sleeping over? this sort of stuff u NEED to know bfore hand)
cleaning common areas (kitchen, bathroom, etc)
bills (rent, cable, internet etc how is it split?)

Some of this stuff might not apply if you're rooming with a practicing Muslim.

"Quiet Time" between certain times at night (maybe shorter on weekends?)
No boyfriends/fiances/men in general sleeping over/coming over for long periods of time
No beer in the fridge
No parties
No smoking anything inside
Keep the pork/bacon/ham far away from my stuff
Bills - how to divide/when to pay/who to pay
Cleaning schedule - also share what each of you considers "clean"
Common courtesy - don't leave your mess lying in the common areas, clean up the hair from the tub/flush, use my stuff but put it back as you found it, no loud music/movies (that's what headphones are for), let me know if someone's coming over so I can get out of the way/clean up etc etc...
Work out class schedules so you're not in each others' way in the morning. (E.g. I have to get ready to go to a class at 10. You don't have class til 4 yet you take a shower every morning at 9 am. Do it at 8, wait til I'm out of the bathroom or do it the night before)

That's all I can think of. For now.

I pedicured, face AND hair-masked, hair-removaled, showered (in ice cold water cuz the pedicure took all the warm water ), vaselined/lotioned up and now I'm squeaky clean and smelling good. I bet it doesn't last, I've got yoga tomorrow at 9. It's my first class (1/2 semester class) so I'm excited, I got new pants just for it

I'm STARVING and craving some Masala-flavored Maggi noodles. Lemme go make some, heeheehoohoo. Wish i had some sweet Hawaiian rolls to go with it

I took the quickest shower ever this morning 'cause I was running so late. Literally, I jumped out of bed and into the shower.

I got there and... my class was cancelled. No word from the prof.

Roommate horror stories are... wow. I'm glad I live at home.

About 1.5 hours. The water went cold cuz I heard the ppl next door turn on their shower about halfway through my pedicure. I was like oh no... lol, oh well. I got used to it after a few minutes but it was freeeezing!
