so, um..... the airport lost my luggage
which includes, in order of importance:
-all my textbooks for one class, including all my notes for that class. which is a ****load of notes
-20 pages of xeroxed declassified CIA documents (suspicious much?) that i need for writing a 6 page paper for aforementioned class, due soon after i get back. not to mention that i also have a final exam for that class soon after getting back
-my beloved birkenstocks. possibly my most prized possession.
-my cell phone charger
-two of my favorite shirts
-perishable food that could possibly destroy everything in my suitcase if it goes bad
-my contact case, toothbrush, saline spray for my new piercing, spare underwear
WOOOHOOO
but before i whine big time, let me say that alhamdulillah, most of this stuff can be replaced, if the luggage is never found. what if i didn't have enough money to replace that stuff? and worse, what if the contents of that suitcase were all my possessions in the world?
...i'm still very upset about the lost class notes though. that's hours and hours and hours of detailed work right there. duaas please

So everyone is telling me to get a little dressed up for my shower today. I'm going to wear a sari. It's red and has some red sequin work but it isn't too fancy. However, my husband keeps teasing me and telling me to wear a teeka. Imma get him. As it is I'm probably going to look like a demented cherry.
