hahahahah you know how people collect things...like qurans, key chains, and bad boys etc...
i like collecting clothes and shoes ( more shoes though)
to me each purchase is like adding another beautiful thing to my collection hahahah.
that being said i know how to shop for cheap things .....most of my clothes that i buy ive gotten on sale for around 5-10 bux
the only time i spend over 20 dollars on a piece of clothing was when i was getting the next Item at 50% off or wedding clothes.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
I like buying shirts. And skirts and shoes. And purses (although purses are kinda high maintenance, like every time you want to wear a new outfit you gotta transfer all your stuff and sometimes you forget something important that day, so I just have a basic brown, black, and another one, though my forth one was a gift)
I used to hate shopping (especially pre-weight loss) but now I actually enjoy it. I also stopped caring about the sizes so much because I realized how ridiculous those things are. I have larges and smalls that fit me just fine... ain't my fault designers can't have a standard for sizes. I am usually a a medium though.
Trying on clothes can be annoying sometimes but it's worth it in the end I think. Although it stinks when it doesn't fit you because you wonder if you've gained weight and ask yourself why even the larger size looks funny on you)
I also heart getting the most bang for my buck. heba, the trick is to go shopping at the right time, often during holiday sales and between seasons (as retailers are getting rid of old stuff for the new)... and some stores just have better sales like NY and Co., Loft, and Express. They often just have a whole section (as opposed to a rack or two) for stuff that's on sale.
But I like buying stuff in general, it's just the feeling of having something new. I even get excited over a new pen or folder.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
i haaaaaaaaaaaaaate the rush of buying stuff during sales htough. like ive never in my life been shopping on boxing day. EVER. and i dont plan on it. i dont think its worth it to get up early or wait in a line to save a few bucks.
when i DO shop its because i realize i need somethin to wear. liek a skirt for an upcoming party, or a top to match some shoes or jewellery. so i literally am in and out of the store, i dont like searching i just buy what i like.
---
a little off topic, but what are good presents to buy for guys??? i need a nice long list. dont worry about cost, just nice gift ideas. shopping for guys is hard

I dunno, I rarely find that much of a rush. I've only gone shopping once on boxing day and ya, it was pretty bad. But going in between seasons is better because those sales last days so the rush is not as bad.
I second heba's question... I need a list too. I want to buy something for my dad and my fiance (and he never tells me what he wants!) ... he only says "I just want you, you're my gift"
Anyhoo... *ahem*

Naaah, it's all good I don't see it that way. It's the "new feeling" more than the actual material stuff you get.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Ah *sigh* I'm in the computer lab, class just ended. I'm supposed to start working on my paper but I'm anxious for my husband to call because we are scheduled to have a serious talk tonight. I feel this long distance thing is seriously affecting our marriage and if we go on any longer in this ridiculous way we are gonna end up getting a divorce. It's not like we don't get along, we're great together alhamdulillah...it's stress and frustration from repeated, ongoing periods of separation lasting for 3 months or more. When he's away at the rig he doesn't even have proper internet access so it's basically limited to chat/emails (no webcam ever, he calls me once a day for a short time but I cant reach him because he's in a remote area).
He's trying to convince me to take one year off from school and I wasn't sure because I'm so close to being done (2 semesters left) and plus, I know how common it is for people to say "oh I'll go back" and it never happens. I'm very scared of not having a degree. I will have to overcome the laziness though and be strong...however, right now I feel the best thing to do is at least take one or two online/independent study courses while living with him overseas. I would also be attending a school to learn more Arabic which would really help me with my major (comparative religions/Islamic/religious studies).
Phew.. sorry for that essay. I'm soooo nervous. He should be calling any time, if any of you guys can take 2 seconds to make a dua it would be greatly appreciated
