I meant they can do the nikkah now and reception later thing everyone was talking about earlier. That way if they spend time alone or cuddle, it won't be wrong.

aww, don't feel that way! I didn't mean to sound harsh, it's just that you need to protect yourself from getting too deeply involved feeling-wise. If he never really ends up asking, or if your dad refuses his proposal again then you'll be crushed. It's his job to take the initiative and ask for your properly. Also if your dad hasn't given the green light yet it probably isn't the best idea to keep talking to him. Anyway inshaAllah Khair

the_only_one, would this romatic movie take place at home with other people around?! I think that's even pushing it, but better than them being "alone" in the theater.

sweetheart dont take it too personally. we're not trying to hurt your feelings
i guess it make sense that he' proposed through email considering he lives far away or if he communicates with your father via email. so it'd be his way of getting the message across. but anyhoo, from experience dont fall into crack...just a mere promise with weightless words... , take your steps carefully and stay away from heartbreak.s boys say a lot of things when it comes to actually doing that, they almost suck at all of them. if u knw what i mean.
well the movie was to be at a theatre, if he comes down to the town, but since she's a close friend of mine, i dont think i'll allow that. \\

You know I was all iffy about PDA but I learned when you get your nikkah and you're so in love sometimes honestly just forget you're in public.
When me and my fiance-hubby are together we're always holding hands or I have my arm around his... it's like, if he's not in touching distance I feel he's too far away. Even if he leaves the room for a minute I get sad. So ya, it's really easy to say now no PDA, but that might change. Now I'm not saying you have to to kiss in public, but find yourself attached to him physically, it's normal.
Speaking of my ridiculously masha'Allah masha'Allah amazing fiance-husband, I told him about my hair and he was so patient with me. "It's ok, they'll fix it, it's not a big deal" and he was telling me how it could be worse and he still thinks I'm pretty.
