Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Salika: omg that sounds awful, im sorry
Last summer I tried to dye my hair dark golden brown once and turned the top of my hair + the scalp orange. (The hubby got a real kick out of that! ) Then I dyed it back to my normal color twice and both times it faded in a week . I then tried to even out the rest with henna cuz in the past I only used henna and it would lighten all over like 3 shades and looked quite nice. Well...it reacted with the color already on the hair and turned huge chunks of it orangey-red. Total nightmare..
I went to Sally Beauty Supply and they recommended using a haircolor-removing kit but I was too scared that my hair would fall out. I went to the salon and my friend there used this awesome color on my hair to even it out to a normal-looking dark brown with high/lowlights. She didnt bleach or anything, just dyed over it and it worked alhamdulillah b/c they use top quality stuff from Germany (its also the kind of stuff that's safe to use for pregnant women).
I went to a place called BJ Grand Salon & Spa, I dunno if its a national thing or only in central Illinois. They have a website, u could go check out their locations

Breaking because of the dye? I hope that's not what you mean! I switched to Treseme a long time ago and it helped a lot with my hair issues. Also if you can stand the smell, put mayonnaise in your hair for like an hour every other week (unless you have oily hair). It has the same effect as a protein mask that you would otherwise pay $20+ for at a salon. Protein mask usually coats the hair with a protein layer to make it stronger

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Thanks.. ok, so there's hope. whew.. thanks.
Ya, it might be breaking actually, good thing I only did some of it. I'm gonna put some conditioner so it doesn't get too damaged (coconut oil, great conditioner)
it's just the blonde didn't quite work out evenly so it's like not even, i guess if a beautician can just fill it in it'll be ok insha'Allah

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
ya, from the dye
I brushed it and all this hair came out but I don't see any damage on my head. I think whatever is breaking is done breaking (ya, I had my hair dyed before). I'm just gonna put in coconut oil in overnight, wash it and pray the beautiian has a spot for me tomorrow... it just needs filling in the gaps methinks insha'Allah
and make dua mom doesn't kill me

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
I've died my hair exactly once in my life. I was 7 years old, and my mom died my hair red so I could dress up as Pipi Longstokcing for Halloween. It was a super temporary dye too, only lasted for 2 weeks. I've never permed (from a box or otherwise) my hair either. My hair is naturally which can be really irritating. It won't style, it just won't do anything but be really curly.
My mom's hair relaxed every time she had kids. I kinda hope my will too, but it hasn't shown any signs of relaxing yet.
