I feel like I'm going to sick like "lose my lunch type". We're leaving for the airport in about 30 minutes. My dad has to drop us off on his way to work, so we'll be there kind of extra early. Anyway, please make duaa for mom and me - our flight and my dad for having to stay by himself. JazakAllah  .

sooooo. i have this pimple. and i popped it. and now its liek turning into a scar and its HIDEOUS. yuck-o.
and having my nieces in the house is sorta  BIG UPS AND PROPS to the mamas in here. i dont know how you do it!! im not even babysitting or taking care of them, just hearing them, constantly screaming and crying and laughing and playing and being really loud...its painfully hard

put some neosporin on it. and when you sleep at night, put a bandaid with neosporin on over it

the neosporin trick never worked on me, those babies scarred or at least left red marks (which are actually temporary although sometimes can take months to fade completely)

edit: I'm not getting "married" now.. this is for the engagement party
but.. we do have our nikkah but not going to have the walima until after I finish law school
The more I try to explain this, the less it makes sense even to me....

We have 2 parties... the engagement party (which is almost like a wedding for some people, depending on the family, except the bride does not wear a white dress but a colored gown) then when the actual wedding comes, there is the reception with the white dress and Arabs consider that the walima |

yeah but its still more simple than 5 different parties, shoe stealing rituals, brides not being allowed to smile, etc..
i think arabs have it easy

haha well the bride does get other parties too
there is of course the bridal shower, which desis do too, but there are still all the 3azayim (like dawats) and sometimes the family does an mubaraka (party, sometimes the bride will wear her white dress again)... this particularly when the wedding was overseas and those in the states could not come or if the wedding was in another state or something like that. |

Arabs consider the nikkah the official engagement but there's no walima till later |
