I fifth it!
Do it! It's a wonderful experience, you'd be living the high life, and it's only 6 months. I know some couples who do this and they really like it and enjoy it while they are there. Dubai is a great place and you also get the experience of living a Muslim country that really the perks of the West (masha'Allah). Plus maybe you can do some Islamic studies and benefit from being there too. Plus you guys are newlyweds still kind of so it's a nice thing to do before having kids.

I HATE being invited out by people I don't know. Mr.zzze collegues are mostly in their 30s and 40s and they invite us to their houses...which means their wives are 30s/40s.How long am I supposed to be able to talk to aunties for? (Zakk not included) Usually the only reason girls talk to aunties is to get boys, to network. I never did that and think it'd be slightly inappropriate if my husband is in the next room. Anyway, yeah, I like being a hermit

I do it ...its dubai! i mean i diss it soo much it be fun to get a personal experience with it hahahah ... and its only 6 months.

I say do it! It would be a great experience and it's only for six months. It's a great way to try it out. |

oh and yes i would leave everything behind. We both left the UK and now in Riyadh and insha Allah hoping to relocate to the uae after the summer insha Allah. Six months is great because it'll still be new, esp if you're both busy and don't have all the time in the world to check everything out. Plus, it's dubai and you can visit the neighbouring countries...and if you hate it, which is probably not going to happen, it'll only be for 6 months
