I didnt find very pretty hijabs in Pak though, and I was shopping in Lahore and Faisalabad. But they have really pretty shawls!

I was thinkin of Shawls as opposed to Hijaab's too, sorry that's what i meant.. is everything cheaper in Lahore? I could blag a week there as I have a Khala there.
Is Liberty all that cheap tho (I rmbr being disappointed with the prices when I went back 4 years ago but that might have just been coz I refuse to haggle ) or is it better to jack idea's off the internet and get a tailor to make it at home?

Um, it all depends on how much you're willing to spend. And the prices are higher compared to other malls/places but the quality is also finer. I loved it though and did most of my shopping there. There's just something different about shopping in Lahore.
However, if you're worried about the prices or are on a budget, you should check out Faisalabads Anarkali, bano bazar, D groud, Ghenta Ghar (this place has a huge shawl shop). The prices are considerably lower there, on just about everything. The city has a superbly developed textile industry in general, and it offers a huge selection of everything.
Also, I dont see any point in getting a tailor to make you something you saw on the internet. There're tons of deisgners in Lahore, who create magic with their needles
Just visit one and see what you think. Most of them are willing to show you the pieces they're currently working on, and they're breathtaking! You wouldnt see stuff like that on any website.
Also, check out the boutiques if you dont want to get something designed.
Just look around, shop around, and have fun!

Yo Gangsta, thanx for all those tips.. ur a star!!
I'm only gonna have around £600 to spend which is around $1200
This is all so last minute I didn't even get a chance to save up!
The problem with designers will be the waiting time, no? I would have thought they would be booked up weeks in advance.. OK, OK, as you can see, I dont know jack-sh*t about all this haha.. so plz do correct me if I'm assuming all wrong!
Oh, and I'm verrrry picky so I think having a tailor at home working on colours/designs I like then I can keep an eye on what they're doing while they work on it and can stop them when they mess up.. when ym Mum went 2 years ago I thought I gave verrrry detailed instructions but exactly 50% of my tops/jeans came back deformed and butt ugly
My cousins gettin married so hopefully I'll at least get time to do all this designing/shopping

if the outfits are nice and just ill-tailored, you could probably take them with you to get them fixed. but bear in mind, it's gonna take up space on your return trip as well...

The fitting etc was fine but the colour combinations of the sequins used was such a waste of effort..
Sorry, I don't understand what you mean by taking up space on my return trip??

haha i mean, depending on how much shopping you intend to do while you're there, you might need all the space in your luggage you can get for your NEW stuff instead of just the old stuff

Re: jiggle jiggle :fatty:
sometimes it is best to withhold information regarding your where-you're-going-abouts from your parents.
cuz something really minor and petty youre about to do with some people might suddenly start being really wrong. like out of the blue. other days it's ok
ANYWAYS. i went to eat with my coworkers and ate a lot. everybody was like OMG WE'VE NEVER SEEN YOU EAT THAT MUCH.
i dont even wanna START listing what i ate.. i would die. it's okay today's cheat day from my organic/health food routine.
