In high school, I dissected a cat. That experience totally put me off meat for a couple of years, because suddenly, even chicken suddenly started looking a lot like...cat.
Over time, I got over it. By the time I got to med school, cadaver dissection didn't bother me at all.
And this is really gross, but for the first few months after I started my period, I couldn't stand the sight of ketchup.

I think it's interesting how your brain conected these experiences with food. I've changed green diapers, but I never equated it to spinich or peas.
Oh, and today I ate steak, spagetti, and baby carrots for dinner. I made the steak really spicy too, so it was yummy.

Hmm, never thought about that. I just remember cutting the cat and thinking "Holy crap, this looks like the raw chicken before my mom cooks it! Gross!". And for the other one, I don't know how I made the leap (color/consistency? ).

Red meat and I weren't BFFs for a while. My uncle forced me to eat a raw burger once. I begged and pleaded and even his saas told him not to force it on me, but my uncle said that he spent 5 bucks on it (cheapo... lol). Anyway, I ended up getting a fever and was sick for over a week after that. I didn't touch red meat for a very long time. I don't know what the deal is with the chicken though. I know I totally didn't touch it for 6 weeks after going to this restaurant called Marrakesh. Don't even get me started on their disgusting chicken. You know like when you go to the halal meat store and get chicken, although they clean it, it still kind of has a "juice" in it or something. You know when you bring it home, before cooking the chicken, you wash it thoroughly, well, let's just say Marrakesh likes to cook the chicken in its own natural juices. You could totally tell they didn't wash any of the meat before cooking it. Disgusting . Uppar se, my friend told me the restaurant was halal, later I heard it wasn't, and now I don't know if it is or is not. I do know, I'm never, EVER going there again.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Question ladies (mainly non hijabis),
When you're traveling "back home", do you wear hijab?! Do you wear it everyday or what's your deal?! Why do you wear it there and not here!? I really need the feedback. Please and thanks.
