ditto to what fatima said, suga, you've my condolences sis.

ishi if i apply studio fix with the sponge, then i find it "too powdery" on my skin, the last wedding i went to i used 'true blend' by covergirl before applying my foundation and it gave me a lot of coverage. and now, i got primer from mac, it works wonders, last time when i wore my foundation 1. primer + 2. (liquid foundation from mac) + 3. wore my studio fix as a finishing powder, applied using my brush. it gave me an amazing coverage. unbeliveable. the only problem was, i found myself overly dressed to be at home.

So I just tried liquid liner...is it not made for the inner lids?! I had to use my kohl. Otherwise I really like the look liquid liner gives you.
Well, people usually just put it in the top lid. I put it on the bottom too (but only on special occasions). I just push the tip of the wand into my lashes. Liquid liner is very . ChotooMotoo suggested using shadow as liner, I tired that and it worked out nicely too. I just need more practice with it.

I hate it when I wear more makeup than usual (i always wear makeup, but it looks very natural most of the time) and then people feel the need to comment on how I'm "finally" wearing makeup or how I "look very fresh today". It makes me feel so patronized, like "aww, she's finally wearing makeup so let's encourage her!" Hi. I've been wearing makeup since I was 14, thanks. Just because I don't wear "thez" lipstick doesn't mean I'm a freak.

Aww! Were you wearing make up when I saw you? It looked nice. You should do it more often .

I wish I could wear a luscious red lipstick or something, but I look like a skank hoe from Bmore Street (that's the red light area in Baltimore). I just wear regular Chapstick (Hi Fooz, my faithful supplier of Blistex Herbal Answer ). If I wear lipstick, ever like once a year or something, I'll choose a really natural or nude color.

ishi - regarding the foundation/compact thing.. have you tried applying MAC with a brush versus a sponge? it looks much less cakey and goes on so much better..

Me, too. And then my mother-in-law gives me this really long-suffering look and asks "lipstick nahin pehne?"

Bechari. Her hopes for a bling-bling-hot-thing- bahu have been dashed, but she keeps hoping.

lol. I always get the feeling that she's stopping her self from ripping the hijab off me, backcombing my hair, wrapping me in a hot pink and hot purple sari, smacking clashing dulhan makeup on my face, and throwing zevar all over me like tinsel on a christmas tree. She tries to be really nice about it, but I can tell, I tell you!

I suppose the least I could do is wear a fire engine red lipstick.
