I feel your pain. I ate 4 pieces of veggie pizza last night while grading papers, AND a whole 20oz of Dr. Pepper. Today I felt like jumping in the ocean and making whale calls.

That's really backwards from what I'm used to seeing. I'm used to seeing girls act like that, even kissing eachother (on the cheeks) and petting eachothers hair, but nobody thinks they are lesbian. I just went on a trip last year with a friend of mine from Malaysia, and the room we stayed in had only one bed, so we shared. When I stayed overnight at my friends houses growing up, we always shared beds. One time there was the slumber party with about 20 girls, everyone slept in the same room, shared beds, the couch, and nobody thought anything of it.
But yea, seeing guys act like that is really odd from a western point of view, especially when the ladies are not equally effectionate with eachother.

Yeah, but have you seen Pakistani men hug (specifically Pushtoon men)? They hug eachother like it's a contest to see who can break the others ribs first. Nothing gay about that.

If you're in a open relationship?
Or a relationship that's not really a relationship? Lots of Muslim people do that one.
You're not really off the market until you're married anyway.

I'm hungry and I don't have time to eat and I feel dizzy and I'm wearing pink today.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
it's like i'm never gonna catch up. i should give up.
i wish i had a sister. or friends i could talk to more regularly. but i don't think i have the time or something more than a half-hearted desire so it's okay. besides, i don't have much to talk about anyway. i was pretty close to my mom while growing up and then i drifted away a little cuz i thought i was quite different from her and sometimes felt misunderstood but after i got married, there've been times where we talked and it's like i've been promoted from being a daughter-friend to more of a friend-confidant which is kinda nice. alhumdulillah. one of these days inshaAllah, i'm gonna ask her all about her life before me, before my brothers, before my dad. and maybe i'll tell her about my life also... not my life before her obviously, but my life around her.
on a less crazy-sounding note, it's surprising how things fall into place and your heart doesn't flutter as much as it used to or flutters at different things in a non-restless way and it's like a sort of calm fulfillment where you're like ok, so what else can i possibly ask for. and then you can't even think of a single thing... except for those few seemingly impossible things you've always wanted (like a pair of wings, a private island, a Heart, being able to go Home, etc).
life is like i've never known it to be before, alhumdulillah... yet i don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing that i still can't seem to think ahead any more than the end of this year.

there's recently been a study shown that if you take folic acid a year before you even become pregnant, it reduces the risk of having an early labor.
Huge Drop In Preterm Birth-risk Among Women Taking Folic Acid One Year Before Conception
i think that article says at least 400 mg daily is recommended, but i'm not positive how much was used in the study.
