Yes, and when they see you do 500 crunches a day after eating a small meal, they will realize that it's not your parents fault if you're underweight. Your parents may be saying that they want you to eat so their image improves, but really they want you to gain weight becuase they think you are too skinny, and are worried about you.

I'm not saying it is. Unless you adress the underlying psychological issues to these complex problems, punitive measures are totally innefective, and in fact counter productive.
You do 500 crunches daily and want to do more, if you had a choice you would also run I don't know how many miles a day, you're already underweight (you said so yourself), you eat as little as you can to the point that your parents are trying to force you to eat... but you don't see any problem with that.
If a fat person made excuses for their weight, saying it was becuase of hormones or genes or something to justify their behavior, that's not okay. See, that fat person is just lazy and not trying, they are making excuses why they can't change. Why, if you're doing something equally unhealthy, but you're thin, are you allowed to make excuses and justify your behavior? Do you see the double standard?

but i dont understand one thing fat people dont get forced to lose weight or have people take away the food that they eat. but when its the otherway round they get forced to eat and get taken away what they use for exercise.
thats double standards

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
we now take a break from "anorexia or obesity -- who cares if i'm one as long as i'm not the other?!" for a sideline:
please remember me in your duas please, ladies. i'm stressed like whoa and trying to please two parents who have completely different mentalities on things is taking a huge toll and i don't think i can do it anymore. inshaAllah, whatever's best.
and please remember to make dua for other FPHers who are struggling as well. jazakAllah khair.
and now back to our regular programming...

That's becuase death by obeisity takes quite a lot longer than death due to anorexia. If you're my mother, and you're staying at my house, I do force her to stop eating, I do only allow her to eat certain foods, I do force her to exercise. I do force her to check her blood sugars, and I don't keep candy in the house.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
I'm so depressed. I got two pair of earrings from claires on sale. And I lost them. I think I left them at the prayer room at the mall when I went for salah. And I lost my mobile cover.
When I was buying them I was so happy. Sigh.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
anyways... this whole being a law clerk for my brother in law thing is totally cool. i get the experience, the pay, and its sooooooo chill.
and i've noticed a change in myself, insha'allah its for the better. before, when certain things would happen, i would flip out and get upset and mope around and dwell on it and just let it ruin my day. lately though, the same certain things are still happening, but i havent let it all get to me... i've just kind of let it go and let it roll off my back. hopefully its not me just suppressing things to the point where i explode later on down the line.
and du'aas for those of you who need 'em. hang in there.
andddddddd ramadan is coming! i'm sooooo excited
oh also, good news... my friend who got diagnosed with lymphoma the day before my wedding seems to be doing better alhamdulillah. he's returning calls and emails and msgs... insha'allah i'll get a chance to visit him soon. it's all a major reminder though, subhanallah... getting cancer at 22, right before your going away party because you were about to move to the UK to start at the london school of economics...

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Hey guys, I'm super scared, i get my exam results tomorrow and I don't think I'm going to get what i need to get into uni. I'd apprecate it if you all just made a small quick dua that i get into the course that i want to do insh'allah. Words can't express how scared i am right now. I can't sleep, I can't eat, I think I'm going to puke, I keep having panic attacks and I just start crying randomly. I really don't want to disappoint my parents, but I'm just SO scared I failed my exams, and I feel as though there is NOWAY i could have passed them. =(b Anyway, keep me in your duas please. =)

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Saph - All the best sis InshAllah you'll pass.
I've been thinking of wearing the hijab for a LONG time, but i look so ugly in a Hijab, and i dont know what style suits my face..hmm.
anyways, I've been looking at all the Hijab sites for new styles etc, But cant seem to find any styles, I'd appreciate it if any of the sisters would perhaps post some links or tell me a little about thier face shape and the way they do their hijab. I know the Hijab is for modesty etc but its also good to look "presentable" and to feel good in the clothes one wears basically.
Oh and SubhanAllah, This month is so blessed, I love shaban - I feel so much better in my faith and literally i feel positive towards everything.
And I’ve taken a Intermediate photography course partime at Richmond college Anyone go there? The stupid woman was so rude to me on the phone..
Good luck to all the AS [?] Students, InshAllah you will all pass.
