I can understand CLOTHES etc but we have already bought all the essentials. It's a waste of money when she knows we have bought bottles, nappies, and everything else.

There's no point saying thanks when you have already bought it all. Maybe if she asked what we haven't got then I could have said nappy bin!

You can go wrong with the nappies because of the newborn sizes. She's already bought the TINY ones and my baby is quite large alhumdulillah the consultant said.
No point ranting here.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
No offense Affa but your rant is kinda silly. (The part about your SIL getting you the wrong baby essentials) This baby isn't only going to bring happiness into your life (iA) it's going to bring happiness into her life as well and it seems as though she is doing what any new aunt would do...buying the baby things to help you out. She probably doesn't even have her own kids so how is she suppose to know what are right and wrong gifts? The point is that it's the thought that counts. She did go out of her way to buy you things so that should mean something to you. Besides, can't you just go to the store with her and exchange it for something that you don't already have?

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Yeah dude, I'd be mighty annoyed if I could not buy my brothers baby stuff. And the "I love aunty" top is a must.
On a side note, it kind of sucks when you organize everything for his wedding and all the receptions that come long with a wedding, and in the end have a sister-in-law who isnt very...tolerant/accepting?, for lack of better phrasing.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Though I wouldn't complain if somebody bought my kid nappies and stuff, we don't really know what Affa's sis-in-law is like. Only she does. She might be ranting about simple nappies and whatnot but there could be more to it.
Ps. I agree with Spice. The 'I love auntie' tops have to be done. You'll get your kid 'I love mummy/daddy tops' but would you buy your kid an 'I love auntie' top? Exactly, so somebody's gotta do it.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
i understand there's hormonol chaos when a woman gets pregnant, but im wondering how the food she eats is retained for the baby if shes throwing up all the time?
or i think the kid feeds off the already existant fat?
