randomly asked me to give you advice about what you should get your guy too*

Well, you didn't insult it per se, but indicated that it wasn't adequate for a guy. In any case, it's great that they're cute together and are a nice couple.

No, man.
I told you, he's not all that cute. But he has a good personality.
And I don't watch Lost. That's Naveen Andrews though, right? I know he's in Lost. Damnnnnnnnnnn.

For sure, yaar. You'll like him.
And if Naveen Andrews is in Lost, I should start watching it. He's a fine specimen of a man.
EDIT: Okay, so the conclusion is that not all men like practical gifts and some of them can appreciate thoughtful and sentimental ones too. Just like women. At least that's what I've concluded. For now, I shall stick to buying birthday gifts for my brothers because they're easier to shop for. One of them wants a PS3 and one of them wants... I dunno, new tires? I'll probably end up buying him some clothes or something. Or a book.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Why do people on Islamica like to fight over the dumbest things?

You're right, it is dumb. I just get frustrated with teenyboppers, but I shouldn't engage because it's not worth the energy.

it's possible to have a disagreement without 'fighting'
unfortunately most people can't tell the difference..
it's all about perspective i suppose

That's precisely how I felt yesterday. After a while you just want to back out because some people are as hard as rock and you end up feeling like a loser for even trying. Meh, teenyboppers.
By the way, I think noonie asked you already and I think I missed your reply, that or you forgot to reply, what do you teach?

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
She teaches information systems, I think she said. To graduate students.
I dunno why everybody's getting all upset about Islamicans fighting. We always did this. That's what makes Islamica fun. It's a microcosm of the real world and it will never cease to amaze me how different we all are.
