Re: Female Personal Hygiene
So does it really have to take 2 years to get my AA in teaching?! And than How long before I can get my masters?! I'm trying to move away in the next 5 years. So hopefully by that time I can get a good job overseas. Now if there's any way I can do this in less time someone please fill me in. Thanks.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
I normally don't like slow R&B songs but this song is just love.
Listen
Woke up this morning
Heard the TV sayin' something
'Bout disaster in the world and
It made me wonder where I'm going
There's so much darkness in the world
But I see beauty left in you girl
And what you give me let's me know
That I'll be alright
'cause if your love was all I had
In this life
Well that would be enough
Until the end of time
So rest your weary heart
And relax your mind
Cause I'm gonna love you girl
Until the end of time
You've got me singing
Oh whoa, yeah
Oh whoa, yeah
Everybody sing
Oh whoa, yeah
Everybody singing
Oh whoa yeah
Now if you're ever wondering
About the way I'm feeling
Well baby girl there ain't no question
Just to be around you is a blessing
Sick and tired of trying to save the world
I just want to spend my time with you girl
And what you're giving me
Let's me know that we'll be alright.
'cause if your love was all I had
In this life
Well that would be enough
Until the end of time
So rest your weary heart
And relax your mind
Cause I'm gonna love you girl
Until the end of time
You've got me singing
Oh whoa, yeah
Oh whoa, yeah
Everybody sing
Oh whoa, yeah
Everybody singing
Oh whoa yeah
This one's for the lovers
If you're out there let me hear you say
Yeah, yeah, yeah
(Yeah, yeah, yeah)
This one's for the lovers
If you're out there let me hear you say
Yeah, yeah
(Yeah, yeah)
This one's for the lovers
If you're out there let me hear you say
Yeah, yeah, yeah
(Yeah, yeah, yeah)
This one's for the lovers
If you're out there let me hear you say
Yeah, yeah
(Yeah, yeah)
Oh whoa yeah
Oh whoa yeah
Oh whoa yeah
Oh whoa yeah
'cause if your love was all I had
In this life
That would be enough
Until the end of time

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
I got my hair cut ladies. I haven't had it this short since waaay before I was married. I think it looks cute but i think Mr P is going to hate it...
It was my last-ditch attempt to be stylish and youthful before I have to start looking and acting like a mom for the rest of my life....

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
My interview yesterday sucked. Sunday night, my mom and I drove up, along the coast, in the late afternoon/evening. I had the sun in my eyes the whole time we were in the car, but the view were gorgeous.
Then I woke up yesterday with a bad migraine, worst one in probably a year. I thought I could handle it to get through the interviews, but I started throwing up as I was getting ready. So I called up the program, and they were really nice about it. They rearranged my interviews so I could go later in the day. It helped, but I still felt crappy by the time I went. The interviews were fine, they even had a resident give me a personal tour of the hospital because I missed the group one.
I think they were considering me very highly, but I'm not sure they will after that fiasco.

You're right, yummy mummies zindabad!
In other - but kind of related - news - my own dear mummy got out her books of knitting patterns the other night and I was looking through them and trying to decide what I want for my little one. Blankets, bootees, little hats and sweaters - bless her, she can knit ANYTHING. And my grandma and aunties have all promised to make stuff as well My grandma has made a beautiful blanket for every baby born in our family since myself (her first grandchild) so it'll be lovely to have one for my own too! I can finally start getting excited! Yay.

I get textbook migraine with aura. This describes mine:
Quote:
The headache typically begins as a dull ache that progressively worsens over several minutes to hours to the point of disabling pain. The headache may last several hours to days, during which patients are sensitive to light and sound. Patients often wish to rest in a quiet, dark room.
The visual changes are common in one or both eyes. They may occur in any combination:
Seeing zigzag lines
Seeing flashing lights
Temporary blind spots
Sensitivity to bright light
Blurred vision
Eye pain
Other symptoms that may precede or accompany the headache include:
Loss of appetite
Nausea
Vomiting
Irritability
Fatigue
|
I take meds to prevent them, which has helped a lot. But I'm scared to take a triptan to stop them once they start (I had a reaction to one a few years ago). I just take advil.
My vision still isn't quite right. It can take a few days to get back to normal after a really bad one.

I dont like taking meds or going to the doctor, so I take Tylenol for just about everything and Alhamdullilah it works for me.......it even helps relieve pain when I get horrible cramps

Tylenol is fine for cramps. But anti-inflammatories like advil can help for migraines because there is an inflammatory component to the migraine process. I discovered this the hard way, before I knew the physiology. I can take a ton of tylenol an | |
