Re: Female Personal Hygiene
goodness, how do you folks still have hair after using styling products day in and day out?
either you've got really good hair..or spend a ton on expensive products
because i'm not lying when i say that i've used styling products on maybe like 5 occasions in my entire life, and each time my hair quality worsened..and my hair fell out.
i wish i could continue having healthy hair while using styling products regularly.

1.wash
2.dry
3.brush it if i think it's gonna be a bit tangly later. otherwise, u shudnt brush wet hair..that's what i heard.
4.put in frizz-ease if needed
5. if im going somewhere and it's still really wet, i leave it down and tuck it in my jilbab

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
my hair is straight with a tendency to be ugly-wavy if i let it completely air dry
1. wash hair & condition the ends
2. towel dry
3. let it air dry a bit while i check email, get breakfast, etc
4. use a round brush with boar bristles and blow dry

The only styling products I use regularly are Fructis anti-frizz, and VO5 hairdressing. They don't damage your hair at all, and really do get rid of a lot of frizz and make it shiny. I should know, I'm the frizz monster, especially first thing in the morning. You also need to get your hair cut regularly. There is nothing frizzier than split ends.
The best (and only) way to comb really curly hair is to do it in the shower after you put the conditioner in, and before you rinse it out. So, you put on conditioner, comb your hair with a pick or wide-tooth comb, then rinse. Brushing/combing dry hair makes it enormous (if you have super naturally curly hair like me).

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Chotoo, what shampoo do you use?! I also tend to put some leave in condition if I skip the blow drying cos it's helps with the frizz I haven't found a good anti-frizz thing.

pantene. I never blow dry, or flat iron. In fact, I don't own either of those two devices (or even a curling iron). These days my hair is aweful because the dumbass stylist cut it way too short. It's been a month since they cut it, and it still looks bad and we're leaving for Paksitan in about a week! I'm gunna have to wear a dupatta the whole time I'm there, even in the house. It sucks.
